WELCOME TO DOHA COLLEGE

As the Principal of Doha College, I feel immensely

privileged to be at the helm of such a fantastic school

where inspirational teaching encourages focussed

learning and ambition for all in a happy and supportive

environment.

Commensurate with our vision and mission, Doha

College students work hard and aim high both in and

out of the classroom.

Following our motto Excellence for All, Excellence

from All, we are focussed on identifying and

unlocking every student’s full potential.

Our rich extra-curricular programme, which covers

a vast array of sporting activities as well as music,

drama, educational expeditions and many other

pursuits, is designed to educate the whole person.

It complements and enhances our students’ learning

experience, provides opportunities for teamwork and

encourages independence and creativity of thought.

With the toolkit well stocked, Doha College students

achieve outstanding examination results and go on to

the world’s best universities.

The truly British style education offered by Doha

Colleges adapted to the international nature of our

student body and the location here in Qatar enables

every child to realise what they set out to do.

For me as a Principal and for the school community

WHY CHOOSE DOHA COLLEGE?

We are one of the

oldest British Schools

in Qatar. We were

founded in 1980.

We have welcomed many enthusiastic students

into our school over the years and ensure they

leave with a wealth of knowledge and

experience, having developed personal,

academic and social skills.

We were the first school globally to

undergo three independent inspections

by CIS, BSME and BSO. Each recognised

Doha College as ‘outstanding.’

We have an exceptional reputation within the local

community and in the UK. We are in the top 10% of

schools in the UK based on our examination results

year on year.

Each and every one of our teaching staff takes pride

in working for Doha College and are passionate about

teaching. Our teachers motivate students to rise to

challenges and meet exceeded targets.

Our curriculum encourages discipline yet

welcomes creativity and passion. It is broad, balanced

and challenging.

We believe education should occur outside the

classroom as well as inside. This is demonstrated

through our extensive extra-curricular programme

that has an activity to suit every individual taste.

Our campuses all have advanced technology and

every student has an iPad to enhance their learning

experience.

We assist students in need by offering Learning

Support across the curriculum.

Our parents are an essential part of our community

actively taking part in our friends of Doha College

(FDC) group and supporting our social events.

We have an excellent

examination success

rate and regularly

witness our students

attending the best

universities around

the world.

We want more students to benefit from

the Doha College experience.

To achieve this we are

building a world class modern

New Campus which is due

to open in 2018.

in your child’s life and we aim to make a truly exciting

and memorable experience. We will do our utmost to

ensure your child has a happy, secure start to school

life. We will cater for his/her educational, physical,

emotional and social needs, giving a firm foundation

which your child can build in the future.

We treat every child as an individual but always

remembering that treating everyone equally does not

mean treating them the same.

SECONDARY 6th FORM

Our Secondary school develops students into well

rounded, mature adults, ready for the challenges

and stipulations of life after Doha College.

The first three years of Secondary school develops

students into independent individuals, preparing

them for the important examinations in their final

With judicious direction and a well balanced British

curriculum, our students are guided through

secondary school, comforted and supported

throughout their most challenging times.

The international element of Doha College encourages

interaction with different cultures and backgrounds,

allowing students to develop additional knowledge

and experiences, putting them ahead of pupils the

same age at their respective home countries.

6th Form is a time to prepare our older students for

university and work life. They learn to be independent

and are given additional responsibility to encourage

maturity and sophistication.

The 6th Form common room gives students a sense

of freedom where they can spend their free socially

interacting, as well as studying.

We actively encourage our students to consider

university as an advancement of their educational

career. Our students travel all over the world for their

higher education, frequently attending some of the

best universities in the world.

Each year our Head Boy, Head Girl and their

deputies are selected from our 6th Form students.

They represent the student body of Doha College in

the local community and attend many college events

delivering speeches and presentations.
