LMC is a specialist vocational college offering an exceptional experience to all our students, whether you are a school leaver or an adult returning to education. LMC is the place to learn work-related skills that will prepare you for your dream job that matches your interests and aptitude. You can choose from a wide range of job-related courses from BTECs to NVQs to Apprenticeships, all delivered by industry qualified staff who are experts in their own fields.
The Colleges innovative curriculum, which focuses on developing employability skills and attitudes, is clearly aligned with the needs of employers. The success of studying at LMC is evident with 90% of our students progressing into work, further study or Higher Education.
Whilst we expect you to work hard and achieve your goals, we also want you to develop as a person, to enjoy yourself and be part of the LMC community where relationships between staff and students are invariably friendly and respectful.
This creates a purposeful, happy and safe campus where everyone is treated as an individual, whilst still acknowledging the whole range of support needs by providing outstanding support services including learning support, careers guidance, counselling and financial advice.
Our 14m capital investment over the last three years has enabled us to provide a campus-style, state-of-the-art learning environment that is unmatched locally and is one of the best in the North West. If you didnt manage to gain maths and English at grades A-C at school, dont worry. Alongside your course
at LMC, you can work towards achieving these; ensuring that on
completion of your qualification you have the necessary grades to get you

attend lessons, meet deadlines and to accommodate research. Our
Hexagon student and learning centre and excellent IT facilities will allow
you to work independently and advance your personal management
