SCI ALPINOPer lo sci alpino vi sono 37 impianti con 110 km di piste, estremamente variegate per lunghezza e difficoltà. Gli sciatori possono scegliere tra 5 diverse aree sciistiche: Faloria, Cristallo, Mietres, Tofana, Socrepes-Pocol, Falzarego - Cinque Torri, tutte collegate tra loro tramite impianti o servizio di skibus. Per chi è alle prime armi, o desidera migliorare il proprio stile, 250 maestri di sci sono a disposizione per corsi collettivi e lezioni private.

SCI NORDICOPer lo sci nordico i tracciati a disposizione, di ogni grado e difficoltà, si snodano in località Tre Croci e Fiames, da dove è possibile proseguire fino a Dobbiaco (30 km) attraverso la sede della ex ferrovia.

OLTRE LO SCIPer chi non desidera cimentarsi sulle piste ci sono numerosissimi altri sport da praticare: sci d’alpinismo, passeggiate sulla neve battuta o con le ciaspe, meglio se accompagnati da guide esperte. I più spericolati possono cimentarsi nell’arrampicata su cascate di ghiaccio, emozioni più soft offrono invece il curling o le uscite su slitta trainata da cavalli, mentre gli amanti del pattinaggio e del nuoto si possono sbizzarrire allo Stadio Olimpico del Ghiaccio o nella Piscina di Cortina, entrambi coperti. Per l’après-ski non vi è che l’imbarazzo della scelta tra i tantissimi locali e ristoranti.

DOWNHILL SKIINGDownhill skiers will find 37 ski and chair lifts and 110 km of slopes, with a great variety of difficulty levels. There are five different ski areas to choose from: Faloria, Cristallo, Mietres,Tofana, Socrepes-Pocol and Falzarego-CinqueTorri, all linked to each other by ski and chair lifts or skibus services. For beginners, or for those who would like to improve their style, 250 instructors are available for group or individual lessons.

CROSS-COUNTRY SKIINGCross-country skiers will find a wide variety of routes of varying difficulty levels to choose from which run through the Tre Croci and Fiames area, from where it is possible to continue on towards Dobbiaco (30 km away) along the former railway line from Fiames.

MORE THAN JUST SKIINGFor those who don’t fancy tackling the slopes, there are plenty more sports to try: ski mountaineering, walks on groomed snow, with or without ciaspe snow-shoes, all the better if accompanied by expert guides. The more reckless among you might like to try ice-climbing up frozen waterfalls, while the less adventurous can opt for curling or trips by horse-driven sledge. Skating and swimming fans will find plenty to do at the Olympic Ice Stadium or Cortina Swimming Pool (both indoor). There is a wide range of après-ski activities to choose from in the numerous pubs, clubs and restaurants.

LANGLAUFLoipen unterschiedlichen Schwierigkeitsgrads gibt es im Raum von Tre Croci und Fiames, wo man längs der ehemaligen Eisenbahnlinie bis nach Toblach (30 km) gelangt.

NICHT NUR SCHILAUFWer keine Lust zum Schilaufen hat, kann es mit vielen anderen Sportarten versuchen: Schitourenlauf, Winterwanderungen oder Schneeschuhwanderungen, am besten in Begleitung erfahrener Bergführer. Wer Extremes liebt, kann es auf einem vereisten Wasserfall mit Iceclimbing versuchen. Entschieden ruhiger geht s beim Curling zu oder bei einer Hundeschlittenfahrt; Gäste, die gerne Eislaufen und schwimmen, können sich in der Olympiaeishalle und im Schwimmbad vergnügen. Und beim Après-Ski hat man nur die Qual der Wahl zwischen den unzähligen Lokalen und Restaurants.
