Series 800D DRAG® Control Valves

DRAG® Velocity Control trim has long been an industry preference for solvingvalve problems. Whether problems are due to cavitation damage, noise, poorcontrol, or vibration, this valve will help. The 800D makes it easier to bringDRAG® technology solutions to you.

Our proven technology, in this pre-engineered package, allows your plant toreceive many of the benefits that have traditionally come only with a customdesigned valve. Designed with up to eight turns, this tortuous path multi-stagepressure reduction capability is unmatched in ANSI 600 class control valves.Configured with either flow to open or flow to close trims, the valve is wellsuited to steam, gas or liquid flow. Flow to close is typically used for liquidservice, and flow to open for steam and gas.

The flanged body design is configured to meet ISA S75.03 face to face dimensions.Using a Spring and Diaphragm actuator, the complete valve is easier to fit intoyour plant systems, whether a new or replacement application. Weld end bodyconfigurations are available with socket weld ends through 2" size andbuttweld ends through 8".

The CCI MSD-II actuator is standard for this product. This Multi-Spring Diaphragmunit is pre-selected by valve size. Built in reverse (spring close) or direct (springopen) acting configurations, this unit provides control and seat loading in linewith typical industry values. Refer to the MSD-II catalog for more information.

Standard materials allow compliance with NACE MR0175 and are alsosuitable for power plant and refinery applications. The soft seat option meetsFCI 70-2 Class VI seat leakage.

Use CCI's VALSIZ™ computer program for ease of sizing and selection of yourapplication.

End Connections: Raised Face Flange, Weld Ends (BW and SW)

Materials: See Table 1

Temperature: -20 to 450° F (-29 to 232C)

Flow Characteristic: Linear, or Characterized to suit your application

Flow Coefficient: See Table 2 for CV

Rangeability: From 30:1 to 100:1

Seat Leakage: Standard ANSI Class IV, Option ANSI Class VI

Dimensions: See Tables 3 and 4

Selection: Use CCI’s VALSIZ™ Sizing Computer Program

Quality Assurance/Quality ControlCCI series 800D valves meet the ANSI B16.34 standard. Hydrostatic testsare performed in accordance with ANSI requirements, and seat leakagetesting is performed per the ANSI/FCI 70-2 standard. Operability tests arerun on every valve we build. Special tests are readily available to meet yourspecific project needs, including non-destructive testing of valvecomponents and performance testing of the actuator controls.

Notes: 1. Designs characterized to suit your system requirements are available, CV to be defined on a case by case basis.

2. While the 800D is a pre-engineered valve, CCI may revise design as determined by CCI to better meet the operational

requirements. This custom valve will have the model 100D.
