CASTUS (V/O)Not far too long ago I heard astory. A vile beast was summonedfrom the depths of a madmanslaboratory.

MONTAGE:

a) DREKA pulls herself out of a vat of acid.

b) Dreka disembowels the scientist

c) Dreka sets buildings on fire in a small village

d) SHARA(38) dons her helm and armor in her quarters

e) Shara and Dreka battle.

f) Reveal the statue of Shara and Dreka

CASTUS (V/O) CONTDThe monster slayed its creator andwent on a rampage throughout theland, spreading fear and terrorwherever it went. A beautifulwarrior, the savior of the land,rose to face this evil. Both lockedin combat. Both died. But both wereimmortalised in stone.

CASTUS(21), runs from the servant quarters into the garden.AMELIA(18), with short brown hair dressed in upper-class butnot regal clothes, exits the manor and chases after him.

AMELIACastus! Please stop, Castus!

AMELIABut Castus..

Castus collapses at the STATUE OF SHARA AND DREKA sobbinghysterically.

CASTUS (V/O)However, her story will beremembered. Mine on the other hand.

CASTUSNo. No, no, no, no, no. I love youDreka, I love you so much. Pleasecome back.

A strong wind BLOWS leaves across the garden, and Ameliacollapses to her knees. Castus thrashes the statue with hishands and the wind BLOWS stronger. The screen blacks out.

DREKA (O/S)Kiss me.

EXT. VANDERBLOOM MANOR GARDENS. MORNING

The gardens of Vanderbloom Manor are as beautiful as ever;the sun is shining, the birds are SINGING, the flowers arein full bloom. A magnificent fountain is the centerpiece ofthe garden. On the visible circumference of the gardens arestatues, one covered in white tarp. Castus is tending to theflowers around the base of the fountain.

Castus friend, VEN(25), yay high with scruffy brown hair,walks out of the gardeners shack.

VENHey Cas!

CASTUSHmm, what is it Ven?

VENYou heard bout that party MissVanderbloom is holding?

CASTUSNo, whats the occasion?

VENWell, you heard about the...

CASTUSYeah... But thats nothing toreally have a party about.

VENWell, Miss Vanderbloom said that wecould have the leftovers, come tothe quarters at midnight, Ill haveall the food by then.

Ven walks over to the quarters.

VENOh, and Cas! Youve got the nightshift, like during the party. Youget your break in 10.

INT. VANDERBLOOM MANOR. NIGHT

Party guests flock inside the various rooms of VanderbloomManor. The manor is built in a very ornate Rococo style.Blaringly white exterior, beautiful chandeliers, columns,stairs with golden rails.

Waiters carry around platters of really fancy foods.

The guests are sipping their champagnes mingling with otherguests.

Amelia steps down onto the stairs from the second floor andTAPS her glass.

AMELIAThank you, everyone, for showing uptonight. As you all know

EXT. VANDERBLOOM MANOR GARDENS. NIGHT

Castus is tending to more flowers, and on occasion, he looksinto the night sky, down back into the fountain, then ontoall of the covered statues. An APPLAUSE is heard from themanor and Castus briefly looks back at the manor beforeresuming his work.

Amelia wanders out the back door and closes it behind her.

AMELIAIll be right back with you, Acrys.

Castus just notices her, looks into the sky, noticing hisshift is over then walks up over to the gardeners shack.

AMELIAHmm? Who are you? No guests are tobe in the garden, please come thisway.

Amelia signals Castus back to the manor.

CASTUSOh. No, no, no. I was justfinishing up my night shift.

AMELIAWere you now? Ha ha ha! Sorrydarling, my bad.

CASTUSDont worry maam, thats alright.

AMELIANo no, sit down. Its such abeautiful night, isnt it? Sitdown. Sit down.

Amelia sits down on the bench near the covered statue.Castus is hesitant to do so.

CASTUSNo maam, go enjoy your party.

AMELIAEnjoy? What makes you think Imenjoying this? Talking to you isthe most fun Ive had tonight!

CASTUSWell, if you insist.

Castus sits down on the opposite end of the bench to Amelia.

AMELIANotice how all the party guests aremale?

Castus shakes his head.

CASTUSIve been out here since the partybegan.

AMELIAWell, take a guess.

An awkward silence looms.

AMELIAYouve heard the story about Dreka,the one from a month ago.

Castus nods his head.

AMELIALets just say, my mother had theleading role in the story. Thisparty was in her memory. My motherwas strong enough to run the manorby herself after my father left,but I just cant. Yeah. And thatswhy theres so many men here today,they all... want to.. help run thehousehold.

CASTUSI see... Well then, I suppose Ibetter be going.

AMELIANo, please dont go. Theressomething I want to show you. I..just miss her so much.

Amelia walks over to the covered statue. Castus followsbehind her.

AMELIAI, I didnt want to show anyonethis.

Amelia holds the cloth in her hand. Her grip tightens. Shetugs on the cloth. It doesnt come off. Castus is losing hisattention. Amelias other hand wraps around Castus. Shetightens her grip. He holds her hand back. She pulls off thecloth in one swift motion.

Castus and Amelia both stare at the statue. Amelia lookssolemn and relieved. Castus is amazed and scared. The statuedepicts Shara and Dreka.

CASTUSShe, shes beautiful.

Castus softly touches the statue.

AMELIAThe craftsmanship is amazing isntit?

CASTUSShes your mother.

AMELIAYes

CASTUSAnd shes..

ACRYS(56), enters the garden from the back door.

ACRYS(From afar)

Lady Amelia! Where have you been.

Castus and Amelia continue to stare the at the statue asAcrys approaches them from behind.

ACRYSOh my. This is Dreka isnt it.

Amelia nods.

CASTUS(Under his breath)

Dreka.

ACRYSYour mother was such a brave woman.My condolences. Now would youreturn to the party?

Acrys leads Amelia back to the manor.

CASTUSDreka.

INT. SERVANTS QUARTERS. NIGHT

The servants quarters are cramped and bleak. The bunk bedsare closely compacted and there is one long dining table andbench. The table is littered with foods from the party.

Despite the gloomy atmosphere, all of the servants arehaving a good time, except for Castus who is lying on hisbed, at the end of the row of beds, facing the wall.

CASTUSDre. Ka. Dre. Ka.

VENHey hey Cas! Come on you lazy lumpof lemon lips, come out, helpyourself! I got us everything underthe sun! Theres chicken-

Ven takes a bite out of the chicken piece in his hand.

VEN CONTDOoh ooh! Over here, I found us someof this shrimp-

Ven grabs some shrimp and waves it at Castus face.

CASTUSDre - ka.

VENHuh. What was that? Must be theyears worth of grog I got us lads!

SERVANTSYeah!!

Ven pours his mug of alcohol over his face.

VENAnd thats how Ven does it!

SERVANTShut up Venus!

VENOi you!

The servant runs off

VENYoure missing out Cas. Hey! Youthere, get back here!

INT. SERVANTS QUARTERS. DAY

The quarters are a mess, a lot of them have passed out.Castus is still in his bed, facing the wall. Ven is on thebunk bed above Castus laughing. Ven looks down on Castusfrom his bunk.

VENMornin Cas! You feelin anybetter? I swear theres stillenough grog to go around yeahfellas!

A quiet MURMUR of the passed out servants rises

CASTUSHey Ven...

VENWell ave a look at that! The deadman speaks!

CASTUSOh, never mind then.

VENNah, nah Cas! Speak, what is it?

CASTUSHave you.. Uh.. Have you ever.

VENOut with it you dangly dingus!

CASTUSHave you ever fallen in love with awoman you can never love?

VENAww no. No. No, no no. I saw youchatting up Lady Amelia last nightwhen I was picking up the grog. Youaint got a chance in hell buddy.

An awkward silence looms.

VENCome on Cas, get up. Its our shiftdown at the gardens.

Castus loses his expressionless face, and he becomes veryagitated and anxious before leaping out of bed.

EXT. VANDERBLOOM MANOR GARDENS. DAY

Ven and Castus are tending to the gardens, and very oftenwill Castus glance at the statue, now unveiled.

VEN

This shrub could use some trimming,go get us the clippers, Cas.

Castus walks over to the gardeners shack.

Amelia and Acrys ENTER the garden, from the back door, armslinked and making petty conversation. Castus observes thetwo from the door of the shack.

ACRYSSo I said to him.. good job.

AMELIA(Sarcastically)

Oh! I get it. Ha ha ha ha ha. Youare so witty Acrys.

Amelia spots Castus, smiles, and waves at him. He staresblankly at her, then gives a friendly wave back. Castusenters the shack and comes out with the clippers

VENOi. I saw that. You two gotsomething going on over there. Readmy lips: give up. Youre nevergonna get her. Never. Nev - er.Woah hey, whats this?

Ven looks over at Acrys and Amelia while Castus continues tostare at the statue.

CASTUSHey Ven.. Do you think itspossible to perhaps.. make thedead..

VENSave that, have a look over here.

Acrys moves in to kiss Amelia, but she pushes him away.Acrys storms off. And Amelia trods over to the bench, slumpsin it, then bursts into tears.

VENOh why dont you look at that! Myshift is over. I shall leave nowCastus.

Ven winks at Castus, walks off, then when he is aconsiderable distance away, he winks again at Castus.

Castus looks at the statue once more, then closes his eyes.

CASTUS

Dreka.

Castus looks at Amelia, pondering whether or not to comforther, then decides against it, and begins walking over to thequarters.

AMELIAYou!

Castus turns around.

AMELIAYou never told me your name.

CASTUSIts Castus, Lady Amelia.

Castus continues down the path.

AMELIACastus! Please, stay, stay.

Castus hesitantly walks over to the bench and sits down awayfrom Amelia.

AMELIAI miss my mother so much.

CASTUSCalm down maam, calm down. Howabout you tell me about her.

AMELIAShe, she was always so strong. Oh,why am I so pathetic.

Amelia glomps Castus and starts crying on his shoulder.

CASTUSPlease, dont cry.

Amelia lifts her head off his shoulders. Castus wipes awayhis tears with his handkerchief.

Amelia moves in for a kiss.

CASTUSI want to make a dead person becomealive again. Help me Ven.

VENCas. Cas. I have no idea what youare talking about.

Castus punches Ven in the face. Ven falls onto the floor.

Castus stands over Ven.

CASTUSPlease help me Ven.

VENWhat the hell are you talkingabout?

Castus crouches so that hes pretty much sitting on Venschest and continues to punch im in the face until he getsknocked out. Then Castus punches Ven some more. He gets offVen to survey his handiwork

CASTUSOh god. Oh god. Oh god. I killedhim. Oh no. No, no, no, no, no.

Ven turns his head to face up.

VENIm not dead Cas.

Castus screams and jumps into the corner of the quarters.

INT. VANDERBLOOM MANOR. DAY

Amelia and Acrys are in a fight. Amelia is sobbinghysterically.

ACRYSYou must marry me Amelia. Or thisentire estate will belong to thecountry. This is yours. You haveto.

AMELIANo, please dont. I dont love youAcrys.

INT. SERVANTS QUARTERS. DAY

Ven is on the floor, obviously dead.

Castus is in the corner screaming.

CASTUSYoure alive Ven! Alive, alivealive alive alive alive. Dreka!Come back to me!

Castus runs out of the quarters

CASTUSDreka! Dreka!

INT. VANDERBLOOM MANOR. DAY

ACRYSNow, lady Amelia, you will takethis ring.

Acrys reaces into his pocket

CASTUS (O/S)Dreka! Dreka!

AMELIACastus? Castus!!

Amelia EXITS the manor.

EXT. VANDERBLOOM MANOR GARDENS. DAY

Castus is running to the statue from the quarters. Amelia ischasing after him from the manor.

CASTUSDreka!

AMELIACastus! Please stop, Castus!

CASTUSBut I love her, and she loves me.We were meant to be together.Dreka!

AMELIABut Castus... My mothers name isShara. Dreka is the monster.

Castus collapses at the statue screaming hysterically.

CASTUSNo. No, no, no, no, no. I love youDreka, I love you so much. Pleasecome back.

A strong wind BLOWS and leaves are strewn across the garden.

Amelia drops to her knees.

The wind BLOWS stronger and stronger.

Castus is kneeling at the statue looking up at it, tearspouring down his face.

A black hand wraps around his face.

DREKAKiss me.

Fade Out.
