In the Gov€mment Order dt: 20.1 I .2003 read at (4) above, Govemment

had fixed th€ rates of Daily Altowance/Hotel accommodation expenses and other

expenses etc., for journeys undertaken on duty outside the country by the State

Gcvernment Officers and officials of State Public S€ctor Enterprises' based on

the rates fixed by the Govemment oflndia vide their OrderNo Q/FD/695/3/2000'dt:01.12.2000. The Govemment of lndia in their order dt: 21 092010 in

supersession of their earlier order dt:01 12 2000, read at (5) above, have

wiihdrawn the 25% cut imposed on per diem allowances for joumeys on duty

abroad and have indicated the mtes of per diem allowances/Daily Allowance

payable for joumeys on duty in various countries abroad vide Annexure to

Govemment of India Ord€r dt:2 I -09.20 I 0.

Therefore, in view of the provisions contained in Rule 4 ofAppendix-Ill of

KCSRS and also based on the Government of lndia's order dated:21 09 2010 in

respgct of the rates of per diem allowance admissible for joumeys on duty abroad

l. Hotel Accommodation expenditure will be reimbursed as per

actuals, subject- ro the linits prescribed under this Government Order on

production of Vouchers.

2. In cases where an officet makes his own anangement for stay or

accommodation which is provided free of cost, be will get ONLY the Daily

Allowance and not hotel rcntals.

8. In case of countdes, where local currencies are freely conYedible,

the DA entitlement in US Dollars may be paid in local cungncy. The local

currency equivalent may be arrived at via Rupee, by using the official rates of

exchange fixed by the Minisbry of Finance, Government of India, from time to

time. In the case of Mi6sions where local currencies are not freely coovertible, the

prescribed DA will be paid in US Dollars.
