Listed below are noteworthy road works of which the Traffic and Road Safety Section has been informed. Details are supplied as per information received by 16:00 hrs on the preceding Thursday. ROAD CLOSURES

» Section 75 of the Roads Act 1993Temporary Closure of Lanesville, Monkstown, Co. DublinDún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council has made an order. to temporarily close Lanesville to through traffic from - Tuesday, 3rd May 2016 to Tuesday, 31st May 2016.

The purpose of the closure is to facilitate the installation of a foul connection for house No’s 11 to 14 Lanesville, Monkstown, Co. Dublin.

A Traffic Management Plan will be in place and the diversion routes will be clearly signposted.

Any interested parties may lodge an objection in writing with the Senior Engineer, Traffic Section, County Hall, Marine Road, Dún Laoghaire not later than noon on Monday, 25th April 2016 or email traffic@dlrcoco.ie

PROPOSED ROAD CLOSURES

» Section 75 of the Roads Act 1993Wings for Life World Run Charity EventDún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council has received an application from Green Means Go, Marketing and Event Management to temporarily close the roads listed below on -Sunday, 8th May 2016.

The race will take the following route: Newtownsmith, Link Road, Glasthule Road, Sandycove Road, Breffni Road, Harbour Road, Leslie Avenue, Coliemore Road, Sorrento Terrace, Vico Road, Strathmore Road, Station Road, Seafield Road, Killiney Hill Road, Shanganagh Road, Dublin Road.

A Traffic Management Plan will be in place and diversions will be signposted.

It is proposed that the roads, within the Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council Area will be temporarily closed from 11.30 a.m. to 1.30 p.m. to facilitate the race.

Road Closures and the diversion of Traffic will be under the Control of the Gardaí and will be clearly signposted. Local access will be maintained

ROAD CLOSURES

» Section 75 of the Roads Act 1993Temporary Closure of Willow Road, Meadowbrook, Ballinteer, Co. DublinThe Meadowbrook Residents Association will temporarily close a short section of Willow Road, from the junction at Beech Lawn to the junction with Meadow Grove between 14:00 and 16:30 hours on Saturday, 14th May 2016.

The closure is to facilitate the official unveiling of a memorial erected to commemorate the women and men of 1916, which is sited in the small green in Willow Gate adjacent to Willow Road.

A Traffic Management Plan will be in operation.

» Opening of Cherrywood Avenue Extension **The Cherrywood Avenue extension will open to traffic on:Friday, 29th April 2016 at 14:00 hours.

The junction of Cherrywood Avenue / Cherrywood Avenue extension will be opened facilitating access to Cherrywood Business Park.

The junction of Wyattville Link Road / Cherrywood Avenue extension will be opened on a left-in/left-out basis, exiting towards the M50 only.

Traffic will be able to enter from Wyattville Link Road as shown, providing an alternate access point to:

Cherrywood Business Park Brides Glen Luas stop Pay and Display parking facilities.

Charging for ‘Pay and Display Parking’ will begin on: Friday, 6th May 2016.

» Fosters Avenue, Mount Merrion **Work will take place on behalf of Open Eir on Fosters Avenue, affecting the left turn slip lane onto the R138 (formerly N11) on Tuesday, 3rd May 2016 between 10.00 and 16.00 hrs.

» Baker’s Corner: Junction of Kill Lane / Kill Avenue / Pottery Road / Abbey Road ** (Night works)Road patching repair works will commence on Tuesday, 3rd May 2016 until Friday, 13th May 2016 between 10:00 and 16:00 hrs.

» Taney Road Junction / Stoney Road, Dundrum **Road patching repair works will commence on Tuesday, 3rd May 2016 until Friday, 13th May 2016 between 10:00 and 16:00 hrs.

» Ballycorus Road, Rathmichael (Mine Hill Lane to Bridesglen Road) **Road patching repair works will commence on Tuesday, 3rd May 2016 until Friday, 13th May 2016 between 10:00 and 16:00 hrs.

» Sallyglen Road, from Rochestown Avenue to Glenageary Road Upper, Dún Laoghaire *Gully Cleaning, investigation and road sweeping will be undertaken during the week commencing Tuesday, 3rd May 2016 to Friday, 6th May 2016 between 10:00 and 16:00 hrs.

» Leopardstown Road, Leopardstown *Work will take place to facilitate a gas connection on behalf of Gas Networks Ireland on Leopardstown Road near junction with Leopardstown Avenue on Wednesday, 4th May 2016 between 10:00 and 16:00 hours.

# Loughlinstown Drive, Loughlinstown **The Road Safety Improvements Scheme at Loughlinstown Drive will continue until Friday, 6th May 2016.

Every attempt will be made to keep disruption at a minimum throughout the duration of the works, and a Traffic Management Plan will be in operation.

The use of Stop / Go Traffic Management will be intermittently required throughout the works.

Harold’s Grange Road, Rathfarnham (at Genazzano & Villa Maria) ***Work to complete foul and surface water connections will begin on Harold’s Grange Road near Pine Valley Park cul-de-sac on Monday, 25th April until Friday, 27th May 2016.

A Stop/Go Traffic Management Plan will be in operation between 10:00 and 16:00 hrs. (Monday to Friday)

Leopardstown Road R113 ***The signalised junction was opened in full on Wednesday, 23rd March 2016.Finishing works are on-going. Traffic Management will be utilised as the need arises.

Glenamuck Road South, Carrickmines **Works on behalf of the ESB will commence on Glenamuck Road South and Golf Lane, Carrickmines on Monday, 25th April 2016 for three weeks.

Stop / Go Traffic Management Plan will be in place between 10:00 and 16:00 hours daily.

Frascati Road, Blackrock **

Traffic management will be in place intermittently between 10:00 and 16:00hrs in order to facilitate access to the new housing site located near the junction with Carysfort Avenue.

Public Lighting Lantern and Bracket Upgrade Works **Public lighting lantern and bracket upgrade works will take place on:

1. Newtownpark Avenue2. Dublin Road, Shankill3. Shanganagh Road 4. Killiney Hill Road5. Crofton Road

These works will continue until Friday, 30th June 2016.

A Stop / Go Traffic Management Plan will be in operation as required.

Irish Water *Irish Water meter installation works will continue next week.
