Listed below are noteworthy road works, which the Traffic and Road Safety Section has been informed of. Details are supplied as per information received by 16:00 hrs on the preceding Thursday. Emergency road works cannot be forecast.

ROAD CLOSURES

Section 75 of the Roads Act, 1993Temporary Closure of Waltham Terrace, BlackrockDún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council has made an order to temporarily close Waltham Terrace (Blackrock) at its junction with Mount Merrion Avenue and Green Road to through traffic from Monday, 13th July 2015 to Friday, 2nd October 2015 both dates inclusive.

The purpose of the closure is to facilitate road restoration works and associated works. This work will be done on a phased basis which will allow local access to residents for the full duration of the works.

The proposed diversion route will be signposted and further details will be available on our website – www.dlrcoco.ie A Traffic Management Plan will be in operation for the duration of these works.

Section 75 of the Roads Act, 1993Temporary Closure of Stradbrook Road, Blackrock (Nightworks) ***

Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council has made an order to temporarily close Stradbrook Road, Blackrock on Tuesday, 25th August 2015 and Wednesday, 26th August 2015 from 20:00 to 06.00 hrs. on both days.

The purpose of the closure is to facilitate road re-surfacing works.

ROADWORKS / LANE RESTRICTIONS

» Churchview Road, Killiney ***Road resurfacing works will commence on Monday, 24th August 2015 and will continue until Sunday, 30th August 2015 between 8:00 and 19:00 hrs. each day for one week.

Traffic disruption expected.

A Stop / Go Traffic Management Plan will be in operation.

» Blackthorn Drive, Sandyford Business District, Sandyford **Remedial works are to take place on Blackthorn Drive between the junction of Carmanhall Road and Blackthorn Road between Monday, 24th August, 2015 and Friday 28th August 2015 inclusive, with lane restrictions in place between 08:00 and 18:00 hrs.

Two-way traffic will be maintained.

A Traffic Management Plan will be in operation.

» Mather Road North, Mount Merrion *Footpath reconstruction works will commence on Monday, 24th August 2015 and will continue until Friday, 4th September 2015 between 8:00 and 18:00 hrs. for two weeks.

A Traffic Management Plan will be in operation.

» Avoca Avenue, Blackrock *Footpath reconstruction works will commence on Monday, 24th August 2015 and will continue until Friday, 18th September 2015 between 8:00 and 18:00 hrs. for four weeks.

A Traffic Management Plan will be in operation.

» Thornhill Road, Mount Merrion *Kerbing works will commence on Monday, 24th August 2015 and will continue until Friday, 28th August 2015 between 8:00 and 18:00 hrs. for one week.

A Traffic Management Plan will be in operation.

» Lynnwood Estate, Churchtown *Footpath reconstruction works will continue in Lynnwood Estate until Friday, 28th August 2015 between 8:00 and 18:00 hrs.

# Leopardstown Road – R113 ***Leopardstown Link Road and Roundabout Reconfiguration SchemeLeopardstown Link Road OPENED to traffic on Wednesday, 22 nd July 2015 , providing a new access to South County Business Park, Leopardstown Race Course and Leopardstown Park Hospital.

Works now progressing on Leopardstown Road East and Brewery Road as part of the signalisation of the roundabout.

Localised Traffic Management will be in place, inclusive of lane closures and Stop / Go as required.

Expected completion date of entire scheme – 2nd Quarter 2016

# Frascati Road / Temple Hill Improvement Scheme, Blackrock ***The Frascati Road / Temple Road Route Improvement Scheme is nearing substantial completion. There will be on-going minor works for the coming weeks while the remainder of the scheme (snagging) is completed. Resurfacing and road marking works will take place early next week (nightworks).

Traffic disruption will be kept to a minimum with business as usual.

# Shanganagh Road Junction / Commons Road / River Road ***Junction improvement works commenced on-site 24th June 2015 at the junction of Shanganagh Road / Commons Road / River Road.

A Stop /Go Traffic Management Plan will be in place to facilitate road crossings.

Works will continue until end-August 2015.

A Traffic Management Plan will be in operation for the duration of the works.

# Albany House, Shanganagh Road (near Ballybrack Village) **Works will take continue on Shanganagh Road to lay surface water drainage from Albany House to a surface water outfall until Friday, 28th August 2015.

A Stop / Go Traffic Management Plan will be in operation.

# Ballinteer Road, Ballinteer **The Ballinteer Road Traffic Safety Improvement scheme will begin on site on Monday, 24th August 2015 and will last approximately three months. Works will take place on Ballinteer Road between the Sandyford Green Route and the junction of Ballinteer Road/Ballinteer Avenue.

Stop / Go Traffic Management will be in place at junction with College Park intermittently between 10:00 and 16:00 hrs. next week.

A Traffic Management Plan will be in operation for the duration of the works.

# Goatstown Road / Roebuck Road Junction, Goatstown **Drainage works will continue on Goatstown Road / Roebuck Road Junction until Friday, 28th August 2015 between 10:00 and 16:00 hrs.

Stop / Go will also be in place on Saturday, 22nd August 2015 between 08:00 and 18:00 hrs.

A Traffic Management Plan will be in operation.

Dodder Road Lower ***Dodder River wall repair works will commence on Tuesday, 18th August 2015 and will continue until Friday, 2nd October 2015 between 07:30 and 18:00 hrs.

The road will be reduced to single lane and managed by temporary traffic lights from Monday to Friday. The western footpath will be closed; pedestrians can cross to the eastern path at signed designated crossing points.

A Traffic Management Plan will be in operation for the duration of the works.

N11 - between Brewery Road and Stillorgan Park Junction ***Site Investigation Works for Cycle Improvement Scheme will continue until Friday, 28th August 2015 between 10:00 and 16:00 hrs.

A Traffic Management Plan will be in operation for the duration of the works.

Nutgrove Avenue, Nutgrove **Works will take place on Nutgrove Avenue to facilitate the installation of a signalised pedestrian crossing near the Rathfarnham Scouts Den beginning on Monday, 10th August 2015 for approximately four weeks.

Stop / Go Traffic Management Plan may be in operation intermittently between 10:00 and 16:00 hrs. during this period.

Public Lighting Lantern and Bracket Upgrade Works **Public lighting lantern and bracket upgrade works will take place on:

Ballinteer AvenueDublin Road andShanganagh Road

These works will continue until end of August 2015.

A Stop / Go Traffic Management Plan will be in operation as required.

Ballyogan Wood, Ballyogan *Work will take place on construction of a pedestrian link between Gaelscoil Shilabh Rua and Ballyogan Wood Luas stop through Ballyogan Wood Estate on Monday, 17th August 2015 between 08:00 and 18:00 hrs. and will last for approximately four weeks.

A Traffic Management Plan will be in operation for the duration of the works.

Cross Avenue, Blackrock *Construction works on a Road Safety Improvement Scheme at the eastern end of Cross Avenue, Blackrock commenced on Monday, 13th July 2015. The scheme includes the construction of an uncontrolled raised crossing and build outs for additional school warning lights. The works are expected to be completed by end of August 2015.

A Traffic Management Plan will be in operation.

Irish Water *Irish Water meter installation works will continue next week.
