TEKNO TOM 401Btk 90002-00 / 240Vtk 90002-01 / 110V

This new generation of electrosurgical units with monopolar and bipolar cutting and coagulation features meets all surgical requirements. The units are designed in accordance with the most advanced electronic technological standards and ensure maximum efficiency with regard to performance and the highest level of safety for the user and patient. Perfect function, simple and safe use, easy maintenance and servicing are the outstanding advantages of the Tekno TOM 401B units, which are characterized by their state-of-the-art technical features. Maximum Output:

400 W monopolar cut250 W monopolar coagulation99 W bipolar cut80 W bipolar coagulation

TECHNICAL FEATURES Complete and permanent control by two independent operating microprocessors with interdependent monitoring, with self-test features when the unit is turned on, automatic stop in case of faults, malfunctions or output power errors and visual/acoustic warnings for the user (error codes on digital display).

Automatic and dynamic output adjustment by a specific circuit, software controlled, able to perform continuous feedback HF-unit/patient tissues and also optimised function independently of the impedance (type of tissue), the employed electrode and the process speed. This system is currently the most advanced solution for electrosurgery as it achieves the best surgical results with the lowest possible power consumption. It is further enhanced by other impressive features:

- Starting power impulse, software controlled, for all cutting currents to assist initial incision on different types of tissue or different surgical fields (i.e. for fatty tissue, TUR, polipectomy or papillotomy in gastroenterological applications).- Modulation, software controlled, of cutting and coagulation for all blend cut currents.- Micro-progressive power setting watt by watt, half-watt for bipolar coagulation, for low power applications.- Programming of 4 complete individual basic settings.

Two outputs for monopolar cutting and coagulation contemporary usable by two surgeons with activation or by hand-switch pencil or by twin pedal switch. Simultaneous use only in non-contact coagulation (fulguration -spray).

One output for bipolar cutting or coagulation with activation by twin pedal-switch.

Auto StartStop facility for bipolar coagulation that automatically activates the generator as soon as the tips of the bipolar electrode are in contact with the tissue and then deactivates the generator when the tissue is coagulated.

Control of the correct neutral electrode application by means of a specific circuit that not only monitors correct use and connection of the neutral electrode, but also - using “split” single-use neutral electrodes - that the electrode is regularly positioned on the patient and that the contact between the electrode and tissue is sufficient to prevent the risk of burns at the point of application. To ensure maximum safety this circuit is specifically tested during the main self-test phase when the unit is switched on and also during use by means of periodical checks.

Easy and safe use and disinfection. The front panel is logically and clearly structured with each function identified by international colour codes. The key control panel of the unit has a completely smooth surface which is easy to clean and disinfect.

Maximum reliability - no heating or time limits for functions, no openings on the cabinet to prevent any possible risk of damage caused by liquids.

Interface for our Argon gas systems for Argon-enhanced surgical cutting and coagulation procedures.

Perfect function for general surgery, open and under water (TUR), urology, endoscopic surgery, cystoscopy, hysteroscopy, first aid surgery, gastroenterological applications for papillotomy .. . Basically for every need of modern surgery.

TEKNO ABC TOM - ARGON UNITtk 90300-00 / 240Vtk 90300-01 / 110V

The ABC Tom, a module for Argon-enhanced electrosurgical cutting and coagulating procedures for open and endoscopic surgery. This unit can easily be connected to the Tekno TOM 201, 401 and 401B.

TECHNICAL FEATURES Argon gas has two main advantages for surgeons: Improved surgical results due to the displacement of oxygen from the operation area, eliminating smoke and odours and therefore ensuring an excellent and unobstructed view. Completely different coagulation to that normally obtained when using only the electro-surgical unit. When Argon gas is used during „high-voltage“ coagulation the gas flow is ionised by the HF current. This permits contact-free, absolutely regular, superficial and rapid coagulation with a maximum working depth of 3 mm. As this flow basically moves from high to low impedance tissue, the haemostatic

effect is maximised in non-coagulated tissues and absent in already coagulated areas, which means minimisation of carbonisation. The module can easily be connected to the Tekno electro surgical units TeknoTom 201/401 and TeknoTom 401 B by a connection cable, and can be activated by a footswitch or by a manual switch. Connections are provided for the normal surgical electrode (i.e. for polypectomy) and the flexible probe for Argon coagulation. With a twin double pedal switch the HF unit and the Argon gas unit can be activated at the same time.
