The first thing you are going to be won-dering is why they haven't been doingwell. And that's what your potentialclients will wonder about you as well.

So how do you keep from breaking downon the phone with your clients? By re-membering that business is a cycle andjust as things are bad now, they will turnaround and you will be doing well again.The only thing permanent is giving up.

Market MoreBusiness is slow; budgets are tight. Sowhat usually gets trimmed first? Marke-ting. Do you know what the results are?Disaster!

When you conduct marketing, you are notselling yourself to generate businesstoday or even tomorrow. Marketing is aninvestment in your business's future. Infact, research has shown that most mar-keting efforts don't pay off for at least sixmonths. So think about that. Let's say youcut back on marketing in June and youweather the economic down cycle, what'sgoing to happen in December? Absolu-tely nothing! Because all of your poten-tial clients have been won over by themarketing efforts of your competitionwhich were conducted during the sum-mer. Instead of cutting back, a slow downis the time to boost marketing.

Get back in touch with past clients, attendseminars, pass out flyers. After all, ifwork is slow, what else are you going tobe spending your time doing?

Animal Communication Part 3

How to Receive MessagesFrom Your PetIn animal communication, both sending and re-ceiving messages is done on the 'energeticlevel'. This profound method of communicat-ing is very subtle and it's good to keep that inmind so as not to get too hard on yourself whenyou think you're not receiving anything.

Animals send messages by creating 'pictures' inour head. Let's say you're sitting in the livingroom, and all of a sudden you get a *flash**thought*of your pets' red ball. You wonderwhy you just thought of your pets' red ball? Yougo back to reading your newspaper, then again,FLASH! You see a picture in your head of yourpets' red ball.

You look over at your pet and he's laying down,but his eyes are on you and the second you lookat him, he sits up and starts wagging his tail. Heknows you've just received his message! Nowhe hopes you'll get up and play ball with him!As you begin to remember, how many timeshas this happened to you? Probably quite a lot!This is just one example and it shows how veryeasy it is to receive messages from your pet,without even trying!

The difficult part is when we *want* to hearour pets, but just get a blank. It's frustrating!This frustration is exactly the problem. Whenwe try too hard it creates pressure and that pres-sure energetically blocks the picture thoughtsfrom getting in.(or going out!) The trick is torelax, think, 'it's no big deal' and then just beopen to allowing them to get in.

One simple exercise is, take two toys that be-long to your pet. Make sure you have your pet'sattention with no other distractions going on inthe room. Pick up one of the toys, and say (ei-ther out loud or in your head) "Spunky, do youwant to play with your red ball?"('see' or 'makea clear picture' of the red ball in your head) nowput the red ball down and pick up the other toy,let's say, the blue Frisbee, and say, "OR, do youwant to play with the blue Frisbee?"(make apicture in your head, of the blue Frisbee)

Now, close your eyes, RELAX, take a coupleof slow, easy breaths in and out. Wait for a pic-ture to flash in your mind of either the blueFrisbee or the red ball. Your pet will have apreference, and will instantly send you an en-ergy picture of which he would rather playwith. After you receive the picture, make sureyou immediately follow up and spend a fewmoments playing with the preferred toy, other-wise, he won't trust your communications.Thank your pet for being so clear with his pic-tures. Most people are so excited about *re-ceiving the message* that it's hard not to

immediately begin praising and playing withyour pet!

Communicating on this level is 'simple,' I won'tsay *easy*, as believing it's really happening,maybe harder for you than the actual commu-nicating! All sentient beings make these energypictures throughout the day. All we're trying todo here is, 'do it on purpose'. The key is, justrelax and allow the pictures to come. You'llblock them if you try and force it to happen.

Now, to recap:1. In a relaxed, easy manner, set a sincere in-tention or desire to hear your pet. Rememberhow much you love your pet. This will put yourfocus into your heart-space where energeticcommunication happens quickly.

2. In a place without a lot of distractions, getyour pet's attention. Softly say his name, ortouch him gently.

3. Start a 'conversation' by sending him men-tal pictures, like the ball exercise above.

4. Breathe deeply a couple of times to remindyourself to relax. Keep an open mind.

5. Remember, these energy pictures are verysubtle, so validate when you receive a mentalpicture of something by acknowledging it toyourself. ‘Yes, I did get a red ball image'.

6. When you first begin this type of commu-nication, it's easier to keep your eyes closed soyour pets' physical body doesn't distract you.

7. Don't move on to other questions until youhave acknowledged the first *answer*.

8. Remember this is a give and take conver-sation, you do your part and allow/acknowl-edge your pet's part.

9. Keep the whole exercise 'light'. This issupposed to be FUN. Don't et upset about if atfirst you think you aren't receiving answers.

10. Praise! Praise your pet and yourself whenyou do realize, yes, this is really happening!

Finally, no, you're *not* crazy! You've just re-awakened your inborn gift of interspecies tele-pathic communication. Remember, like anyin-born gift, whether its golfing, baseball,painting or talking to animals, it gets alot better and easier with practice.

Keep an open mind and heart. Never give up!Never surrender! :-)
