50 METRES ABOVE SEA LEVEL, the Edmiston Terrace at the Port Palace Hotel is the

After one of the most difficult years on record, Edmiston has clear evidence that
buyers are returning to the market to get the best yachts at the keenest prices.
The last two editions of Antennae have made some bold predictions but headlines
are changing from “we predict” to “we report”.
Until recently over 45% of yacht sales were in the 30-40 metre category and 20%
in the 40-50 metre category. We continue to have a number of firm enquiries in the
mid size sectors but this month Edmiston has taken two large yachts under contract.
Two Feadships, 72 metre Utopia and 60 metre Paraffin have both had offers
accepted at very near their asking prices and we have two other similar size yachts
at the early stages of negotiation. Four in one month is not a coincidence; it is a
change of direction.
The Monaco and newly created Cap Ferrat yacht shows give clients the opportunity
to inspect an elite fleet. Edmiston has convinced each owner to put their yacht in
superb condition at a highly competitive price. A price to sell.

TEST THE TENDER
Edmiston has a number of tenders to take clients to all
parts of both yacht shows. Of particular note is a radical,
custom-built C-Boat from Humphries Design, built by
Jason Carrington. The clear coat carbon fibre hull uses
racing technology to achieve speeds of 45 knots. An
advanced water ballast system delivers a smooth ride.
The technical side is fascinating and the partners will be
on hand to talk to potential tender buyers. Look out for
her – with C-Boat’s styling she will be hard to miss.
TIME AT THE MONACO SHOW
One Watch Auction will be held on September 24 at
6pm at the Monaco Show. The auction is in aid of the
Monegasque Association against Muscular Dystrophy.
The watches include faces with perpetual calendars,
celestial canopies, world time details, chronographs,
tourbillons, jumping hours and moon phases from over
35 brands including Audemars Piguet, Bell & Ross,
Blancpain, Breguet, Cartier, Franck Muller, Patek Philippe,
Ulysse Nardin and Vacheron Constantin. For further

Sycara V has thebest deck spaceof any comparable yacht.
Sycara V is the opportunity to purchase an exceptionally striking 68 metre yacht,
designed by Craig Beale and built at Norbiskrug, Germany. The owner’s upper deck
includes a bedroom facing retracting glazed doors that lead out to a private dining
terrace/lounge. A second adjacent cabin is suitable for the owner’s personal staff.
Forward on this walk-around upper deck is another secluded terrace flanked by
huge sofas on three sides.
The main deck has an astonishing 34 metres of entertaining space with an open-
plan layout from the centrally located glass lift right through to the transom. Glass
doors enable this enormous area to be closed off around the saloon, dining saloon
or aft deck, giving total flexibility. Either air-conditioned or fresh air space – one huge
area or three. In addition, the saloon has full height, full width windows that have been
specially positioned to provide infinity views.
Dividing the saloon and dining area is a large, drop-down, fully rotating plasma
screen allowing perfect vision from either direction. In addition, the saloon becomes
a cinema via a 60” plasma screen with surround sound.
The yacht has several options for guest cabins. The lower deck has four double
suites, two of which convert into triples. A main deck library/lounge has a king size
double bed that creates a massive VIP suite with full height windows. While Sycara V
sleeps twelve guests in her MCA plan, she can sleep up to 16 guests in total comfort.
Sycara V has the best deck space of any comparable yacht. An aft deck beach
club, magnificent sun deck divided by an air-conditioned gym, dining areas, huge
sunbathing terraces – from open decks to awnings to complete shade, this yacht
has every possible option.
Beautifully finished with chesnut burl and walnut panels, metallic lacquers, marble
and onyx, the contemporary interior is incredibly impressive. With a 7,500 nm range,
17 knots maximum speed and highly sophisticated stabilization system, this stunning
yacht will effortlessly cruise the world.
