GREAT PYRAMIDS OF GIZA The Great Pyramid of Giza is 756 feet long on each side, 450 high and is composed of 2,300,000 blocks of stone, each averaging 2 1/2 tons in weight. Despite the makers' limited surveying tools no side is more than 8 inches different in length than another, and the whole structure is perfectly oriented to the points of the compass. Until the 19th century it was the tallest building in the world.

MEMPHIS Was the ancient capital of Aneb-Hetch, the first nome of Lower Egypt. Its ruins are located near the town of Mit Rahina, 20 km (12 mi) south of Cairo.

SAKKARA Also spelled Saqqara or Saccara, ancient burial ground in Egypt, serving as the necropolis for the Ancient Egyptian capital, Memphis.[1] Saqqara features numerous pyramids, including the world famous Step pyramid of Djoser, sometimes referred to as the Step Tomb due to its rectangular base, as well as a number of mastabas (Arabic word meaning 'bench'). Located some 30 km (19 mi) south of modern-day Cairo, Saqqara covers an area of around 7 by 1.5 km (4.35 by 0.93 mi).

EGYPTIAN MUSEUM The Egyptian Museum is home to an extensive collection of ancient Egyptian antiquities. It has 120,000 items, with a representative amount on display, the remainder in storerooms. at the Egyptian Museum we can see King Tutankhamen’s collection and enter the Royal Mummy Room

CITADEL

The Saladin Citadel of Cairo is a medieval Islamic fortification in Cairo, Egypt. The location, on Mokattam hill near the center of Cairo, was once famous for its fresh breeze and grand views of the city. It is now a preserved historic site, with mosques and museums.

SULTAN HASSAN MOSQUE The Mosque-Madrassa of Sultan Hassan is a massive Mamluk eramosque and madrassa located near the Citadel in Cairo. Its construction began 757 AH/1356 CE with work ending three years later "without even a single day of idleness".[1] At the time of construction the mosque was considered remarkable for its fantastic size and innovative architectural components. Commissioned by a sultan of a short and relatively unimpressive profile, al-Maqrizi noted that within the mosque were several "wonders of construction".[1] The mosque was, for example, designed to include schools for all four of the Sunni schools of thought: Shafi'i, Maliki,Hanafi and Hanbali.

KHAN EL KHALILI BAZAAR Is a major souk in the Islamic district of Cairo. The bazaar district is one of Cairo's main attractions for tourists and Egyptians alike.

OLD CAIRO COPTIC CHURCHES

Is a part of Old Cairo which encompasses the Babylon Fortress, the Hanging Church, the Greek Church of St. George and many other Coptic churches and historical sites. It is believed that the Holy Family visited this area and stayed at the site of Saints Sergius and Bacchus Church (Abu Serga).[1] Coptic Cairo was a stronghold for Christianity in Egypt until the Islamic era, though most of the current buildings of the churches in Coptic Cairo were built after the Muslim conquest of Egypt

SOUND & LIGHT SHOW AT THE PYRAMIDS

It is a magnificent show that brings creatively to life the rule of ancient Egyptians. The artists skillfully created a show to present images of all historical eras. For an hour, you enjoy the sound and light show near the pyramids and the Sphinx. The history is re-told by the Sphinx, telling you the most ancient secrets of the world. In the 21st century, you go back in time thousands of years ago to see how they were built and survived! The show manages to convey the great humane spirit and creativity behind their creation.

The show is for 1 hour start at around 19:30 till 20:30 (depend on the show language and day)

AL-MU'IZZ LI-DIN ALLAH OR “ AL MOEZZ STREET ” Abu Tamim Ma'ad al-Mu'izz Li-Dinillah (26 September 932 – 19 December 975) (Arabic: معد المعز لدين هللا‎ "Fortifier of the religion of God"), also spelled as al-Moezz, was the fourth Fatimid Caliph and 14th Ismaili imam, and reigned from 953 to 975. It was during his caliphate that the center of power of the Fatimid dynasty was moved from Ifriqiya (northern Africa) to the newly conquered Egypt. Fatimids founded the city of al-Qāhiratu "the Victorious" (Cairo) in 969 as the new capital of the Fāṭimid caliphate in Egypt.[1]

AL AZHAR PARK

Al-Azhar Park is a public park located in Cairo, Egypt. Among several honors, this park is listed as one of the world's sixty

great public spaces by the Project for Public Spaces (PPS).[1] The park was created by the Historic Cities Support

Program (HCSP) of the Aga Khan Trust for Culture (AKTC), an entity of the Aga Khan Development Network (AKDN). The

park, developed at a cost in excess of USD $30 million, was a gift to Cairo from Aga Khan IV: a descendant of the

Fatimid Imam-Caliphs who founded the city of Cairo in the year 969.
