Hola, mis quierdos Hermanas y lderes!! Saludos de la Casa de la
Misin!!!
What a great week!! There are still several things my husband
and I need to do so that we may be properly settled in, but we are
progressing. Many thanks to all those who helped make it possible
for us to become legal this week we now have our green cards, visas
in place and President Eggintons parking ticket is now officially
paid ;-)
The happiest thing we do, as we continue with the initial
interview process is, we get to see you, be with you, speak with
you and of course, hug you.
I love talking with you and hearing about your successes and/or
concerns. I love to hear about your families and see the love in
your eyes as you speak of them. I love to hear your testimonies of
this wonderful work. You may not testify to me in actual words, but
I always see it. Its the glow that shines from your faces. You
radiate such a powerful spirit that the angels cannot be restrained
from letting the light shine through. Thank you for the joy you
bring. I look forward to it eve-ry time we are together.
I had an interesting conversation with some missionaries the
other day and I wanted to share with you some of the insight this
companionship concluded. They were experiencing inward and outward
struggles due to some unfortunate incidenc-es. Feelings had been
hurt; inappropriate words had been spoken. These things happen
sometimes, we are all human, but I hope these kinds of occurrences
will be the exception and not the rule. When this does happen,
please remember that we may not always be able to control the
situations that arise, but we can control how we will respond to
them.
What would Jesus do? That is a simple question, but it can
provide a transforming response.
I asked these missionaries to incorporate a role-play reversal
and put themselves in the place of the other missionaries. How
might they respond? In this scenario, what would they do? This was
their reply
Be patient and understanding Love each other and show it openly
Have charity towards all by following the example of Christ Praise
openlyCorrect privately Be happy and positive
This is the Lords work. The work will progress if we take care
of each other and show love for one an-other. This will lessen
stress because the spirit will be with us. God will be happy and
this will help us be happy, too.
I could not have said it better myself. Love each other. Be
happy. Seek the Spirit. Share the Gospel. God will be with you and
we will be happy. Short and sweet. I love this, dont you??
