Glacier caves at the Great Aletsch Glacier ThursdaysThis walk to the rugged, fissured landscape of the glacier edge is a top holiday highlight. Groups take the chairlift to Hohfluh view point. From there and with views of the ice giant all the way, you climb down to the glacier and its deep-blue caves. You can feel the ice breathe. The return route for this once-in-a-lifetime trip takes you through the protected woodland of the Aletsch Forest.

Let go at the glacier; forget your worries and relive moments of joy. Write your thoughts on a stone: whatever is occupying or has worried you, or moments of thankfulness and happiness. The stones are available from the cableway companies and the tourist offices, and in some of the hotels and holiday flats. You can of course also go out and look for your very own lucky stone. Leave your cares on the mountaintop! You can leave your lucky stones at one of the three view points (Hohfluh, Bettmerhorn or Eggis-horn) in the Aletsch Arena, symbolically “unloading” your cares and worries to return with a lighter step and a lighter heart.aletscharena.ch/luckystones
