EVALUATION QUESTION 4How did you use media technologies in the construction and research, planning and evaluation stages?

RESEARCH & PLANNINGo We used a theoretical approach in our research of Postmodernism,

and this meant that media forms helped from this genre provided insight into how we would construct our final trailer.

o What we used: Internet: We used a variety of sites such as DAFONT, google,

British Film, and IMDB YouTube: This was incredibly useful as it allowed ur to view, and

review multiple film trailers that would inspire us. For example Children of Men. It also allowed us to watch different informative videos on postmodernism.

Blog: The blog was very useful as it mean when creating our initial ideas we could all share easily.

RESEARCH & PLANNING

• We used the google to research multiple things (including film trailers, articles about genre and dystopian film analysis).

• We used YouTube to view multiple trailers: including CHILDREN OF MEN

CONSTRUCTION

• We used a variety of equipment during our construction.

The camera we used was a Canon EOS 550 D. This camera provided a challenge at times as I was not entirely familiar with how to use it. However if was user friendly, and provided excellent shots.

CONSTRUCTION

We also used a track to film a pan of a laboratory table. We didn’t use these shots in the end however, as they weren’t needed.

We also used a tripod for getting still, smooth shots such as the Woman’s Speech Scene and the Male world leader speech…

CONSTRUCTION

• For all of our EDITING we used Adobe Premiere Pro: it was easy to use and meant our clips could be edited to a high standard.

Adobe Photoshop – This was used for magazine and poster construction. It was easy to use, and we had a workshop on how to use if previously which also helped with the editing of the poster.

Titles (Dafont) – we used websites that a collections of fonts to research for our chosen one. All the font I researched in my previous power point for the titles in our film were from the website DAFONT.

EVALUATION

• PowerPoint, Prezzi & Slideshare: These technologies provided an easy way to present a lot of information in an organised fashion, for example PREVIOUSLY in our Pitch when presenting our FILM TRAILER IDEA, we used a PowerPoint to present things visually. So we knew that they would be effective for our evaluation questions.

• We also used a mic to record our scripts for Evaluation question 1 then used screen recording equipment so we could discuss what we moved around on the screen. This provided an interesting way of presenting our ideas.
