Position Summary

Position: Service Evangelist Position No.: SE0001Reporting to: Business Development Director Location: Cairo Start Date:  June 15th, 2007 

Role

A Service Evangelist’s role is to promote Blujino’s services to mobile phone users. S/he willpromote the use of these services through different new and creative platforms; such astalks, articles, blogging, user demonstrations, recorded demonstrations, or the creation ofsample projects.

Evangelism marketing is a progressive form of Buzz marketing, i.e. Word of Mouth Marketing(WOMM). A Blujino Service Evangelist will find ways to convince mobile phone users tospread their recommendations to other potential users. S/he will recruit new users out of purebelief of the services offered by Blujino. S/he will work on providing benefits to these usersand build a wide base of evangelist users who will be encouraged to speak about theseservices to other individuals and hence get them motivated to become users of the service

themselves.

A strong avenue for Service evangelists is in the form of customer communities, which bringtogether groups of users of Blujino’s service to share information and discuss commonissues. This will be the primary role of the Service Evangelist besides promoting the serviceto different users.

Tasks & Responsibilities

• Build and create intelligent word-of-mouth networks.• Design, implement and supervise promotional campaigns to mobile phone users.• Create and encourage communities of customers to meet and share their feedback about

the service.• Create a cause for users to use the service.• Research and gather all sorts of feedback about the service.• Develop new and creative ways to continuously gather users’ feedback.• Coordinate with account managers to ensure mobile users’ satisfaction.• Establish relationships with different social networks and service organizations.• Work with the creative team to come with content in appealing formats to users.• Build strong relationships with the press and other media.• Manage users’ surveys about content and put recommendations to the creative team.• Write and type users’ satisfaction and enthusiasm reports;

• Create and manage the created base of users’ evangelists.• Supervise and implement new service evangelism campaigns.

Preferable Experience

Previous experience with media or advertising agency would be advantageous.

Skills and abilities: 

• A thorough and demonstrable understanding of building communities.• Ability to be resourceful and think laterally to deliver the desired results.

• Demonstrate high creative ability.• Understand the needs and interests of the targeted audience.• Excellent written and oral communicator in both Arabic and English.• The ability to work both independently and as a team player.• Ability to use initiative.• Strong listening skills.• Proactive approach.• Good time management and organizational skills.• Work to strict deadlines.• Problem-solving skills.• Organizational ability.• Web and graphic design skills is advantageous.• Additional languages would be advantageous.
