In 2015 I have attended Young Architect/ Interior Designer School at Lithuanian Vilnius Gediminas Technical University, here you can see my sketch and final object of an assignment to createarbor with columns and swimming pool. As the structure was quite monotonic I have decided to incorporate different décor structures for each section.

One of the projects I was asked to do in the Interior Designer School was the floating sauna. I was inspired by the shapes of smooth waves in the ocean and I have tried it to express it with my design ofsauna, but also stay with minimalistic style. The drawing of the staircase represents the task to create stairs by using several of landings to reduce the height of the slope.

Drawings on the left: Third assignment – balance. The task was to find an architectural balance by using fourdifferent rectangular shapes. Here you can see my explorations and the final piece. For the drawing on right I was working on axial section of the building and the first floor plan.

Here are my sketches of the assignment to create the observation deck that would be incorporated between two edges of the land and above the water. I was influenced by the shape of a water funneland tornado.

These are the drawings that I have done during my spare time. I am passionate about observing the surrounding area, focusing on the details, thinking about the light -whether it is natural or artificial light and how it changes the view ofinterior/ exterior.

This is the project that I have done in the college when I was studying for few years in London. The brief was to create EnterpriseAnd Entrepreneurship hub, the main featured object is interactive wall made from bended LED screens. In this hub people canpresent their ideas using the big presentation screen or it can be divided into small separate screens to support ability for fewusers. Through this assignment I have learnt how to do marker rendering drawings, use Google Sketchup and work in a workshopwith different materials such as wood, mdf, plastic by using various tools like bending machine, laser cutting or sanding discs. Moreover it helped me to understand how important it is to plan your time efficiently.

Festive Christmas window display that I have created for a fashion boutique. It won gold medal in capital municipalitycontest. My inspiration was wood and metal construction shop interior I tried to produce something in between –from metal ladder I have created Christmas tree and by using live tree branches I have made skirts for mannequins. This synthesis between completely different materials made the strong effect.

Last summer I was extremely lucky to join an annual Lithuanian contest workshop - SIKON for the students of architecture whichorigins can be traced back to 1983. Our group of five won third place. The theme of 2015 SIKON was synthesis. Rusne city where theworkshop was held is now slightly abandoned town with a very few locals left. Time ago it used to be resort where many touristswere aiming to visit. By understanding Rusne city problems we decided to create synthesis between current and past. We chose thechair to be the symbol of the communication. Our group members went to random locals houses and asked for an old chair and astory of it. We have renovated all the given chairs and wrote their story on the sides. We have placed a map of our chosen placewhere we have left the new one. Moreover we have constructed a new chair and left in a chosen location as you can see in pictures. We have placed old chairs in various locations around Rusne. Upon discovering the chair locals would be able to read a story from thepast and the map will help them to locate the newly build chair in a field - create communication synthesis between past and thefuture.

Photography is another way how I can express myself, I adore the fact that by using this type of art I can stop an emotion, show the feeling or a beauty of a moment. I believe that the mostauthentic pictures are those caught in a moment- not directed, so I am usually the one who captures the real life gems.

Page 12: EVELINA BARTUSEVICIUTE PORTFOLIO

By continuing photography theme I would like to add that while everything I capture I try to search for interesting compositions, colors or angles.

Page 13: EVELINA BARTUSEVICIUTE PORTFOLIO

Sometimes I capture people too. However, I do not like posing, so I ask them to be in their natural movements.

Page 14: EVELINA BARTUSEVICIUTE PORTFOLIO

I really love observing people. It is amazing how different we are with our habits, looks or appearance, but at the same time we are so very similar. Emotion and mood - these things define everyone and thatis why I try to show emotions/ feelings in my drawings.

I am also very fascinated about the fashion. Here you can see the photo shoot, that I have styled for the oldestLithuania magazine – Moteris, 2015 December issue. The idea that I had on my mind was to incorporate togetherethno motives, bright colors and existing trends. I have borrowed few pieces from the ethno cultural museum andmixed them with other that I took from shops or boutiques.

As you can see, I am keen to exploredifferent art platforms, and I know, that in interior design I canincorporate most of my current knowledgeCreativity allows me to feel alive and I found missing pieces ofmyself by exploring art.
