During the past four years we have had various exchanges with our sister school in Tianjin, China. In August 2014 the second of our International Schools opened up in Shanghai. Situated in the Pudong area it has world class facilities and can compete with any overseas school.

Taking the best traditions of Wellington College and blending it with the local intri-cacies of Shanghai should result in an excit-ing education for the 330 students already enrolled into the school. Do have a look at the school website where the latest infor-mation is always available http://www.wel-lington-shanghai.cn

This opportunity is for 3rd form and 4th form students in the first part of the Sum-mer term. It will see students of Wellington College taking lessons in Shanghai as well as participating in co-curricular activities.

The language of instruction is in English but the chance to meet and make friendships with International students from over 30 different nationalities is really what these exchanges are about – as well as the chance to visit the enigma that is China. Pupils will stay in the newly opened board-ing houses which are spacious, modern and fully equipped for both working and relaxing.

• Leave Wellington College on Friday 24th April 2015

• Arrive Shanghai Saturday 25th April and spend weekend settling in (WCIS term starts one week prior to WCUK so students will already be resident)

• Monday 27thApril – Thursday 21st May: school timetable and extra curricular activities commence

• Thursday 21st May – return to UK in time for eve of Speech Day/Speech Day 2015
