  • ABOUT THE INSTITUTE The Government Engineering College Jhalawar has been established in the year 2007. The institute is situated in village Chandloi, tehsil Jhalrapatan, District Jhalawar which is lively & vibrant city, situated in Rajasthan, India. Jhalawar is a city of vibrant colors, lively folk music and dance performance mark the celebrations of every religious occasion & every change of season. The Government Engineering College Jhalawar is affiliated to the Rajasthan Technical University Kota and the courses are duly approved by AICTE. The college aims to sharpen the skills of the students to equip them to face the growing challenge of our dynamic industry. The college seeks to enable graduates to gain a competitive edge in pursuing technical, managerial and professional careers so that they can make an outstanding contribution to the performance of their employing organizations. FACULTY DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMME (FDP) The FDP aims at the professional development of faculty members/ educators by imparting foundational knowledge and principles necessary to promote excellence in teaching and research. FOR WHOM The FDP is designed for teachers working in Universities, Governments Engineering colleges, and professional institutes. SELECTION CONSIDERATIONS FDP is designed for teachers working in Universities, Government Engineering Colleges and Professional Institutes. Preference will be given to participants in the early stages of their teaching careers. The final selection of the participants shall be decided by the organizers as the seats are limited, and participants will be selected on first come first served basis. OBJECTIVES The major focus of the FDP is on upgrading the teaching, training, and research skills of teachersespecially those teachers who have not had an opportunity to acquaint themselves with recent developments in teaching and research methods. The programme enables participants to develop competence in education as well as in research and pedagogy. Topics of Expert Talks:

  • EXPECTED OUTCOMES: The faculty development programme will facilitate ways and means for improved faculty performance in a variety of domains including institutional, personal, social and pedagogical.

    EDUCATIONAL APPROACH

    The FDP relies on a variety of learning settings like classrooms, workshops and seminars, and a participatory approach to learning. There is an emphasis on the presentations, group discussions, role plays, conceptual lectures and experience sharing in a variety of settings like classrooms, workshops and seminars, and a participatory approach to learning through relevant case studies in the modern classrooms. CERTIFICATION Participants who complete the programme satisfactorily will be awarded a certificate of participation. ACCOMMODATION AND BOARDING Accommodation facility will not be provided by host institute. However the organizers will assist the participants to hire room at various hotels and guest houses at Jhalawar on payment basis. FEES There is registration fees of Rs. 500/-, the registration is mandatory for all the participants. Registration is open up to 30.09.15. Registration fees should be submitted in the form of DD in favor of Principal, Govt. Engineering College Jhalawar Payable at Jhalawar. APPLICATION PROCEDURE Scanned copy of the registration form duly signed by sponsoring Authority should be sent by 30.09.15 on E-mail: [email protected] Intimation to the selected candidates (by Email only) will be send till 30.09.15. Selection will be based on first come first served basis. Hard copy of Registration Form duly complete in all respects is to be produced at the time of registration. It is a mandatory requirement.
