An offer never before made.

Herewith our first ever dedicated list of aged Australian wines, imported directly* and matured in our cellars. While the wines sit on many fine wine shop shelves and restaurant wine lists around Japan, we have always wanted to see these wines sold by the glass to allow more people to experience them.

But the fear of wastage has been a stumbling block. We could not ask people to risk selling by the glass without offering at the same time a way to preserve the wine through to the last drop. So we turned to a great Australian product, winesave pro™, argon gas in a spray can invented in 2010. The benefits of covering wine with a thin layer of argon to shut out oxygen have long been known but an accident of history prevented the use of argon for food preservation in Japan. Between us and using winesave™ lay the task of having the rules changed, which we gladly accepted. 8 years later, on June 6th this year, the Ministry of Health gave approval. Joyously, without let or hindrance, we can now offer you great Australian wines for glass pours in restaurants or for offering customers small tastings in wine stores, backed up by winesave™. We have done enough testing to know it really works, and endorsements about how it helps sell more wine are starting to flow.

ヴィレッジ･セラーズでは、これまでにも富山県氷見市の自社セラーで熟成させたオールドヴィンテージワインをご提案してきましたが、今回初めて30年以上熟成を含め、約60アイテムほどを一挙にご案内致します。

熟成ワインには、どんなに素晴らしい若いワインでも表現できない風味があります。その魅力に取りつかれ、創業以来、輸入したワインの一部を自社セラーに取り置いてきました。弊社の熟成オーストラリアワインは、他に類を見ない規模のコレクションの一つかと思います。

今回、このように一度に多くのセラー熟成ワインをご提案できるのは、約8年に亘る試行錯誤の末に今年6月、厚生労働省よりアルゴンの食品への使用が認められ、長年海外で使われているアルゴンガスの小型ボンベ「winesave PRO（日本での商品名：アルゴン･ワインセーヴ･プロ）」の輸入開始に漕ぎつけたことによります。「アルゴン･ワインセーヴ･プロ」の成分は100％アルゴンで、アルゴンは空気中に存在します。開栓したワインのボトルに「アルゴン･ワインセーヴ･プロ」を注入すると、酸素より重いアルゴンが空気の層の下に滑りこみ酸素を遮断、ワインの酸化を防ぎます。ワインをグラスに注いだらすぐボトルに「アルゴン･ワインセーヴ･プロ」を注入すれば、数週間はワインの風味を保つことができます。高価なワインを少しずつ時間をかけて楽しむこともできますし、何種類か同時に開けて、料理や気分にあわせることもできます。

新しいワインの楽しみ方を自社セラー熟成のオールドヴィンテージ･オーストラリアワインとともにご提案します。
