Piano Recital Part 2, Jason Jeffrey Saturday, February 10, 2018 @ 7:00 pm
Join us for part 2 of our very own Director of Music Ministries’ piano recital.
Jason will be performing some well known classics, such as Chopin’s legendary
“Heroic” Polonaise, Beethoven’s ground-breaking “Waldstein” sonata,
Mendelssohn’s thrilling Trio in D minor, for piano, cello, and violin (1st
movement), and more.
This will be an exciting concert that he is happy to offer free to the Stockton community, with a reception
following the concert. All free will donations will help support the music ministry at the Cathedral of the
Annunciation. A live stream link will be available on the day of the performance!
A message from Catholic Charities:
With the food donations made by the Cathedral of the Annunciation Church,
Catholic Charities was able to assist 501 households during the holidays. In
November 261 households were assisted.
On behalf of Catholic Charities and the many people who benefit from your regular and very generous
contributions to our Food Bank throughout the year, thank you for being mindful of those whoa are struggling
in our midst with basic needs. May God bless your Parish Community in 2018.

Small Faith Communities, Getting Ready for Lent

Bereavement Ministry News
During the 6 weeks of Lent, we are encouraged to know our Lord more deeply and follow Him
closely. Annunciation Parish provides many ways we can take this Lenten Journey of worship,
prayer and sharing. One of these important ways is through Prayer Around the Cross. The
Bereavement Ministry will be leading Prayer Around the Cross on Monday, March 5 at 7:00
pm. If you feel the need to be with others who have experienced the same loss as you have
endured, please consider coming. There will be prayer, music and a special time for reflection.

Family Faith Formation: Confirmation Retreat English Sessions
High School Confirmation retreat for candidates and sponsors Saturday, February 10, 2018 at 8:30am to 1:00 pm at the Parish Center (Gym: 1120 N Lincoln Street). Please plan to attend if your child is in their second year of Confirmation preparation.
Make sure to invite the sponsors as well, this is one of the requirements to receive Confirmation.
Catholic Schools Week Festivities
Last week, in honor of Catholic Schools Week, all
classes extended their love and support throughout
our community with a variety of service projects.
Students visited residents in neighboring care
facilities, honored our first responders with a thank
you banner, made Valentine cards for those with
limited family support, helped to clean up Victory
Park and our local neighborhood, stocked little
community libraries with gently used books, and
built prosthetic hands for amputees in support of the
“Helping Hands Project” by Odyssey Teams.

La semana pasada, en honor de la semana de
Escuelas Católicas, todas las clases extendieron su
amor y apoyo a toda nuestra comunidad con una
variedad de proyectos de servicio. Estudiantes
visitaron a centros de rehabilitación, con una
pancarta de agradecimiento, honraron a los que
trabajan en servicio publico de primeros auxilios,
hicieron tarjetas de San Valentín para personas con
apoyo limitado, limpiaron el parque de la Victory y
el vecindario, llenaro las Pequeñas Librerias con
libros usados y construyeron manos prostéticas
para amputados en apoyo al "Proyecto Manos de
Ayuda" del equipo Odisea.

Our regular monthly food drive will take place next Saturday and Sunday, February 10 and 11 at all the Masses. A special need for this month is Mac & cheese and cereal. Please continue to be generous in sharing with our community's hungry families. Please bring non perishable food items to Mass next weekend. Thank you!

Stockton Symphony Field Trip
Students in fourth and fifth grades attended a special concert by the Stockton Symphony which
introduces students to symphonic music and the instruments of the orchestra.
100th Day of School Museum
To celebrate our 100th day of school, students in kindergarten and first grade made special art
projects which included 100 pieces of a single item. Everyone enjoyed viewing their creative
projects on display at the “100 day” museum.
