The IMIM programme is the result of a collaboration between Universidad Politécnica de Madrid (Spain), Politecnico di Milano (Italy) and Heriot - Watt University (UK). The course provides managerial skills to students with a technical, primarily scientific or engineering-based, background focussing on business skills relevant for pursuing managerial careers in internationally orientated manufacturing and service industries. Education is performed in a highly internationalized environment with the possibility to spend the 4 semesters of the course in up to 4 different countries - 3 in Europe and the 4th anywhere around the world. The student experience is highly international and goes beyond the classroom. Students come from more than 20 nations and participate in language courses, seminars with local managers and company visits in the host country. The IMIM is 50% content and 50% context related. In addition to the delivery of managerial content, the program facilitates and stimulates student participation in the cultural, economic and social life of each of the countries where study is undertaken.

• emphasis on topics of great relevance for technical university graduates, such as operations and supply chain management;
• overview of general management and its application in an industrial context, such as marketing and accounting;
• integrative teaching approach aimed at developing the ability of students to tackle managerial issues in an interdisciplinary manner;
• industry-related project work, forming the basis for a master thesis.

IMIM has been an amazing opportunity for merging academic knowledge with work experience and international exposure. IMIM combines management vision with the challenges and new methodologies emerging in modern manufacturing and service industries, piloted by teachers with high expertise in their field, and top level education. Most significantly for me, IMIM has been an opportunity to learn from diversity, to embrace change and new ways of thinking, and to share with highly talented motivated classmates in a multi-cultural environment; in our case there were four continents covered in one classroom. IMIM is a platform, a catalyst to apply for positions of greater responsibility in an international business environment and, essentially, a network of future managers.

Admission Requirements
• Online application form;• A bachelor’s degree or recognized equivalent from an accredited institution (minimum 3 years’ full time study) in a scientific
or technical discipline;• English Language Certificate;• Curriculum Vitae (European format) - relevant work experience is highly regarded but not mandatory;• Two letters of recommendation (at least one academic);• Recent GMAT scores – highly regarded but not mandatory;• Copy of passport; • 2 recent passport photos.

Tuition Fees & Scholarships
20,000 euros (10,000 euros/year)The fee covers tuition, examination and administrative services provided by each academic institution. No living expenses, travels or accommodation expenses are included.
Company grants and IMIM tuition fee waivers available. Erasmus Mundus scholarships available.
