Engagement of Casual Substitute Pharmacy

Technicians on Definite Contract

The Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Health, The Elderly

and Community Care invites applications for the engagement

of Casual Substitute Pharmacy Technicians on definite

contract for a minimum period of three months and a

maximum of one year, renewable as and where necessary.

2. The salary of a Casual Substitute Pharmacy Technician

will be at the rate of Lm4,677 per annum, that is, the minimum

of the salary scale of the grade of Pharmacy Technician.

3. Casual Substitute Pharmacy Technicians may work on

a full-time basis or on part-time basis for 20 or 30 hours per

week and paid pro-rata. If not working full-time, the

provisions of MPO Circular 50#96 and Legal Notice 61#96

regarding paid vacation or sick leave will apply.

4. A Casual Substitute Pharmacy Technician will replace

an already existing full-time employee on long paid or unpaid

leave and when the said public officer returns to work the

Casual Substitute Pharmacy Technician will have his#her

contract terminated.

5. The contract may be terminated by the Permanent

Secretary or by the Casual Substitute Pharmacy Technician

at any time on one month’s notice in writing or on payment

of two weeks’ salary.

6. Casual Substitute Pharmacy Technicians will not be

eligible to apply for internal calls for applications open to

serving Government employees>

7. The duties of a Casual Substitute Pharmacy Technician

include>

(a) Dispensing of pharmaceuticals<

(b) Upkeep of stores, i.e. ordering, receipt, maintenance

and supply of pharmaceutical stocks, including monitoring

or stock turnover and expiry dates, storage conditions, stock

taking etc.<

(c) Preparation of extemporaneous pharmaceuticals e.g.

compounding of mixtures, suspensions, etc.<

(d) Large scale production of pharmaceuticals, including

sterile preparations e.g. intravenous infusions, disinfectants,

etc.<

(e) Procurement of pharmaceuticals, including monitoring

9.1. Persons registered with the National Commission for

Persons with a Disability (NCPD) may be given reasonable

That the parties are married and have a son Gianluca who

is five years old.

That the parties were separated by a public deed of the

10th April 2001 in the records of Notary Elizabeth Sciriha.

That in the contract free access in favour of the father was

established which however due to disagreement between the

parties had to be specified by the Court.

In fact the Court decreed that the access of the father is to

be every Monday and Wednesday between 1.00 p.m. and 6.00

p.m., and on Friday from 1.00 p.m. and return him on Saturday

agreement that the father collects and returns the son without

there being any contact between the parties in order to avoid

the trouble due to the reason above explained.

Thus in the circumstances the applicant prays with respect

that this Honourable Court defines the modality of how and

where he is to take and return the boy in order that no trouble

arises and at the same time the boy does not suffer due to the

disagreement between the parties and this if the Court thinks

that it is the case, by means of the holding of a sitting for this

purpose.
