Established in 1948 in Grand Isle, Louisiana, GIS began as a modest company serv-ing the commercial shing industry. It quickly evolved, entering into the emerging Oil & Gas industry in the Gulf of Mexico. Just as its founders, Clyde and Ouida Pregeant responded to clients’ ever-changing needs, GIS has advanced and diversi-ed to become one of the industry’s most capable and trusted contractors.
Today, GIS services the oil and gas industry nationally and internationally. With over 2,000 employees, 21 strategically located facilities, and 21 service lines, GIS has the resources to span the complete life cycle of our customers’ projects, and the capability to provide solutions in the upstream, midstream, and downstream mar-kets. We align our services with operations from the development stage of major projects, through construction, commissioning, and ultimately de-commissioning.
AT A GLANCE
To provide quality products and services to our customers in a safe and environmentally sound manner at fair and competitive prices.
To be considered among the premier service companies in the energy and construction industry by our customers, neighbors and governmental agencies as we maintain and promote the proper balance between safety, quality and prots while people and the environment remain our highest concern and most valued.

PROJECT EXPERIENCEGISThe hallmarks of GIS’s success are completing quality projects on schedule and achieving our cost targets. We consistently prove the eectiveness of our project planning and management system through successful project execution. The Shell MARS Platform was signicantly damaged by Hurricane Katrina’s 170 mph sustained winds and eighty-foot waves. GIS provided 360 personnel, produced all ISO drawings, designed all work packag-es, managed all Intelligent Connected Piping. GIS managed its own crews as well as the crews of two other companies, and provided all necessary tools and equipment. With this project, GIS was not only able to help return the largest producing platform in the Gulf of Mexico back to service, but did so ahead of schedule.
Chevron Mabee ProjectGIS installed NGL Recovery Equipment at the Chev-ron Mabee CO2 Compression Facility in Midland, TX, with all construction taking place inside an existing operating plant. In addition to being the single qualied contractor for all three phases of work, GIS self-performed all civil work, piping connections, setting of equipment skids, electrical & instrumen-tation, as well as start-up and commissioning.
Kinder Morgan CompressionStations 9, 110, 301, & 302GIS provided turn-key construction services at four compression stations in the Utica & Marcellus Shale Regions of Kentucky, Pennsylvania, and Ohio. These projects illustrate GIS’s ability to simultane-ously perform multiple capital projects of varying size, scope, and conditions, while maintaining the quality and safety standards that our customers have grown to expect.
