Primerarevisión
Ya hace 8 años con la ilusión y el trabajo de un grupo de oftalmólogos de Castilla y León comenzamos la elaboración de estas guías que tienen gran difusiónen nuestra comunidad. Hace 8 años celebramos la primera reunión de RETICAL (Retina de Castilla y León) en Valladolid con una doble finalidad, por un ladola difusión del conocimiento y por otro la elaboración de protocolos para el manejo desde puntos de vista comunes y desde la evidencia científica deenfermedades retinianas en las que la terapia intravítrea es una forma principal de tratamiento. A estos dos objetivos se ha sumado durante estos años algoen lo que no pensamos: se crearon vínculos personales y lazos entre hospitales que han hecho más fácil nuestro trabajo.
Los métodos diagnósticos y terapéuticos de las enfermedades retinianas han experimentado un importante avance durante los últimos años y los resultadosde los ensayos clínicos arrojan de forma constante nuevas evidencias que hacen necesaria una actualización frecuente de los protocolos de tratamiento.
Esta primera revisión nace del consenso alcanzado en la IX Reunión de RETICAL que se celebró en mayo de 2018. A ella asistieron especialistas enOftalmología que trabajan en la Unidades de Retina de todos los Hospitales de nuestra comunidad. En nuestra primera reunión se acordó que los protocoloselaborados fuesen difundidos a través de nuestra Sociedad Científica regional SOFCALE.
A todos los que participaron en esta primera revisión les agradecemos su colaboración. Estás guías pretenden ser de gran utilidad en nuestras unidades deretina y en nuestros centros de oftalmología general. Estamos seguros que influirán en una correcta praxis y en una buena utilización de las armasdiagnósticas y terapéuticas disponibles.

• La lesión se localiza en el nervio óptico
Oclusión de Rama Venosa Retiniana:• ORVR Mayor o Principal: afecta a ramas de primer orden y la ramas
maculares.• ORVR Macular o Menor: afecta a una rama macular.• ORVR Periférica o Secundaria: no se afecta la circulación macular.
Oclusión Hemicentral de Vena Retuiniana:
• La rama Hemiretiniana está afectada desde la papila• El curso clínico y pronóstico está más próximo a la OVCR.
