Protection Against Germs, Abrasion, and Stains

PERMABLOK3® from Spradling is a proven vinyl protective coating that’s engineered to create a tough, effective barrier against the three biggest problems encountered in healthcare and hospitality environments - germs, abrasion, and stains. PERMABLOK3 results in a more hygienic environment because germ counts can be kept down. Importantly, it also guards against the surface growth of fungus, mold, and mildew spores which can cause unpleasant odors, unsightly pink and black stains, even allergic reactions. This means that vinyl treated with PERMABLOK3 not only keeps its good looks, but also remains highly resistant to deterioration such as cracking, splitting, and loss of flexibility. So from any standpoint, hygienic, cosmetic, or structural, PERMABLOK3 offers superior bacterial protection that healthcare and hospitality industries can really count on.

Superior Anti-stain Protection

When caught quickly, most everyday stains like grease, blood, suntan lotion, crayon, ketchup, and black felt tip pens can be wiped right off vinyl treated with PERMABLOK3. Just use mild soap and water. For more stubborn stains, a variety of concentrated and solvent type cleansers may be used without damaging the surface. These include alcohol, naphtha, and bleach. (Abrasive household cleansers and steel wool should be avoided - see the Care and Cleaning guide for complete instructions.)

Safe

SILVERGUARD® is a natural environmentally friendly bacteria-fighting

defense that inhibits odor and stain causing bacteria. Plus, the SILVERGUARD technology is EPA registered and FDA approved.

Reliable

SILVERGUARD stays fresh and lasts longer than other silver ion

based products due to the proprietary manufacturing process which promotes a controlled release of antimicrobial properties. It continues to provide its bacteria-fighting protection even after repetitive cleanings.

Effective

The elemental protection of silver in SILVERGUARD is an antimicrobial

agent. It is safe and efficient in diminishing odors, promoting freshness, and extending the life cycle of a product by attacking bacteria and other destructive microorganisms.

How it Works

Silver ions engineered into the unique chemistry of SILVERGUARD are highly effective against bacteria because they destroy microorganisms through multiple paths. SILVERGUARD attacks the bacteria cell wall, disrupts protein metabolism within the cell, and forms complexes with other biomolecules in the cell to alter cell functions. These ions are slowly released out of their inorganic matrix in the presence of moisture. SILVERGUARD is released as needed to effectively control bacterial growth, while leaving sufficient quantities of SILVERGUARD to retain antibacterial protection.

Care and CleaningATM and WHI:

Step 1: For light soiling, a solution of 10% household liquid dishsoap in warm water, applied with a soft damp cloth. Rinse with clean water and dry.

Step 2: For heavy soiling, dampen a soft white cloth with a one to one (1:1) solution of Fantastik® and water or Formula 409® and water. Rub gently and rinse with a water dampened cloth.

Step 3: For more difficult stains, dampen a soft white cloth with a solution of household bleach (10% bleach / 90% water). Rub gently and rinse with a water dampened cloth to remove bleach concentration. Do not use with alcohol based cleaning agents!

DIA, INV, KIL, PAT, STX, SAV, and STR:

Step 1 (eye shadow, mascara, grease, black felt tip pen, crayon, chocolate, suntan lotion, hair and body oils*):Remove excess spill with a damp cloth. Clean with a 1:1 mix of Ivory® liquid soap and water. Next, rinse with clean water and dry.

Step 2 (red lipstick):Use a straight application of concentrated cleaners such as Formula 409® or Fantastik® spray cleaner. Wipe with a clean cloth, rinse with water, and dry.

Step 3 (blood, urine, feces, oil base paint, tar, and asphalt):Use a 1:1 mix of ammonia and water, or a 1:4 mix of bleach and water. Rinse with clean water and dry.

Steps 4 & 5 (all other tough stains):Step 4: Use a straight application of naphtha (lighter fluid). Rinse thoroughly with clean water and pat surface dry.

Step 5: Use a 1:1 mix of isopropyl alcohol and water. If the stain persists, use straight alcohol. Rinse thoroughly with clean water and pat dry.

Note: For cleaning that requires step 4 or 5, use a soft cotton cloth saturated with the cleaning material and rub the stain in circles 10 times. Pat dry with another soft cotton cloth and check the results.

*Must be cleaned after each instance of exposure to hair and body oils.
