In the Parable of the

Unforgiving , Jesus is

teaching His disciples,

and us by extension, that forgiveness should

be in like proportion to

the amount forgiven. The first servant had

been forgiven all, and

he then should have forgiven all. In like

manner, a child of God

by faith through Christ has had all sins

forgiven. Therefore,

when someone offends or sins against us we

should be willing to

forgive him from a heart of gratitude for

the grace to which we

ourselves are debtors.

celebrated each year on August 6. The feast commemorates the transfiguration or metamorphosis of Christ on Mount Tabor, when our Lord appeared in His

divine glory before the Apostles Peter, James, and John.

Dormition of the Most Holy

Mother of God Celebrated August 15th

The day of the death of the Most Holy Mother of God is called the Dormition (or falling asleep) in our Church, for her body did not know corruption after death, but together with her soul was taken up into heaven; hence, another name for the Feast is “the Assumption”. We have no historical data to indicate how long the Mother of God remained on earth after the ascension of Christ into heaven, nor when, where, or how she died, for the Gospels say nothing of this. The foundation for the feast of the Dormition is to be found in a sacred tradition of the Church dating from apostolic times, apocryphal writings, the constant faith of the People of God, and the unanimous opinion of the holy Fathers and Doctors of the Church of the first thousand years of Christianity.

View of Dome (parking lot side) 3 layers of 1/2 inch buffalo board , tar paper and plywood decking. The buffalo board and tar paper were removed replaced with AMC Halo Subterra rigid foam insulation 1.5 inch thickness to be covered with “Ice and Water” waterproofing membrane. All this to be covered 29g “rainbow Rib” metal roofing. Colour to be determined. New trim and eavestroughing to be installed if required. This work will be done on the other two domes as work progresses.
