We warmly welcome all of our visitors! It’s good to

have you with us!

Jesus said to sell everything he owned, give it to the poor, and FOLLOW HIM.

Important step, that one. It demonstrates to us yet again in

Scripture that Jesus is NOT demanding of our "riches" and demanding our

material poverty...He is checking, testing us to see how important HE is compared to "stuff". Christ HAS to come first. Our

hearts must be willing to do what is asked of us even if it pinches. What Jesus

said next was equally important -- a camel could go through the eye of the

needle easier than a rich person will go into heaven. The "eye of the needle" is a

small gate in one of the walls in Jerusalem and in order for a camel to pass through it, the camel must get on their knees (which they can do, but is

very painful).

UCY Upcoming Youth Events:

1. Decorating at the Metropolitan's house on December 3rd at 2pm. 2. UCY/YA Christmas Party and Wii Just Dance evening on December 10, starting at 7pm. It is a potluck meal, so please let me know what you plan to bring. Also, please bring along your favorite board game! 3. UCY/YA Christmas caroling at Holy Family Care Home on Aberdeen Ave at 4pm. We will be starting the caroling at 3pm at the Metropolitan's House, with a quick practice/organizing at 2:30pm at 233 Scotia Street.

Gather as a family (roommates, friends, relatives) in any room you desire, with a crucifix present if possible. Yes, you can--and are encouraged to--bless your own

home/apartment/condo/dorm room even if a priest isn't available!

The seniors executive would like to thank

everyone who participated with the seniors

dances over the past 28 years. As always,

there was lots of planning and work to put

the dances on but the enjoyment and

satisfaction of producing such a great event

developed many friendships that will

continue on. These dances would not have

happened without all your support.
