"The Re-Ink Invitational Exhibition of Contemporary
Ink and Wash Painting 2000-2012", jointly organized
by Today Art Museum, Hubei Museum of Art and
99ys.com, will be presented in Beijing Today Art
Museum on 2 April 2013. Curated by Lu Hong, art
director of Shenzhen Art Museum, this exhibition
invited Ji Shaofeng, deputy director of Hubei
Museum of Art to be the acdemic moderator, and it
will display over 200 works with the theme of "Ink
and Wash" by 62 contemporay artists nationwide.
If we say "Ink and Wash" is the general term for
modern ink painting in modernistic stage and
Chinese painting before that, then Re-Ink is more of
a very strong post-modernistic overtone. It does not
truely return to ink and wash, but is the subversion
and transcendence to ink and wash. This is not
just the breakthrough and transcendence from
conceptional form and medium types. It actually
has reconstructed a new field, which has overturned
the evaluation criteria and education system
concerning "Chinese Painting". Therefore, "Re-ink" is
a changing concept looking into the future. Instead
of giving a definite answer, it raised the possibility
of ink and wash in future on the topic of "Re-Ink".
Consequently, "Re-Ink: Invitational Exhibition of
Contemporary Ink and Wash Painting 2000-2012"
deserves extensive attention of art professionals and
the general public.
由今日美术馆、湖北美术馆、99 艺术网联合主办
的“再水墨：2000-2012 中国当代水墨邀请展”，
将于 2013 年 4 月 3 日开始在北京今日美术馆展
出。展览由深圳美术馆艺术总监鲁虹担任策展人，
湖北美术馆副馆长冀少峰为学术主持，共展出来
自全国各地 62 位当代艺术家以“水墨”为题材
的作品 200 余件。
如果说水墨是对现代主义阶段现代水墨及其以前
中国画的统称的话，那么再水墨则是带有很强的
后现代性色彩，它并不是真的回归水墨，实则是
对水墨的颠覆与超越，这不仅仅是观念形态和媒
材样式的突破与超越，它其实是重新建构了一个
新场域，这个场域颠覆的是一个关乎“中国画”
的评价标准和教育体系。因而，再水墨是一个面
向未来的动态的概念，它并未给出明确的答案，
而是就再水墨这个话题，提出水墨在未来的可能
性。因此，“再水墨：2000-2012 中国当代水墨
邀请展”应当受到业内人士及大众广泛地关注。

本次展览缘于一次影像的实验创作活动。在中国
摄影家协会举办的第二届“全国农民摄影大展”
研讨会上，有学者和专家提出，要“寻找农民的
真实视角”。于是就有了这次基于影像的艺术家
与村民平行表达活动。
宁夏西吉县沙沟乡阳庄村上圈组，一个被列入生
态移民的村子， 2013 年将全部从大山中搬离，
迁移到平原地区。2012年 12月至 2013年 3月，
80 多位评论家、理论家、摄影家、艺术家、电影
导演、诗人、作家分批次进入上圈组，和当地 29
名村民一起进行影像记录与表达。
所有参与者进行的是自由的记录，不作任何主题
性的规定。本次展出的 2000 余幅作品，既有第
一次拿起相机的村民们对即将成为记忆的村庄的
感性记录，也有众多不同身份背景艺术家的倾心
创作，是在社会变革时期对特定生存环境下普通
人进行的一次集体描述与多维拍摄。
参与本次活动的村民年龄最长者已有 67 岁，最
小的只有 4岁，共 29人，他们是李文忠、李黄鹰、
马文友、马翠萍、马生花、马温、李金梅等；艺
术家包括王悦、索久林、解海龙、陈小波、藏策、
王征、袁东平、许志强、严明、孙彦初、刘苗苗、
乌昂、谢琼枝、海洋、孙廷永、白冬泉等。

The Exhibition is the result of an experimental
visual art program. At the symposium of
the Second National Peasants’ Photograph
Exhibition organized by China Photographers
Association, an initiative of “finding the real
perspective of a peasant” was raised by
scholars and experts. A program of parallel
expression joining artsts with villagers through
video work is then launched.
Shangjuan is a group of families of Yangzhuang
Village, belonging to Shagou Township under
the Xiji County of Ningxia Hui Autonomous
Region. The village is listed for ecological
migration. The whole population is to be moved
out of the mountains to the flatlands in 2013.
Over 80 critics, theorists, photographers,
artists, film directors, peots and writers came
to this village one group after another between
December 2012 and March 2013. They worked
together with 29 villagers to create a series of
visual documentation and expressions.
All participants were free to record anything.
No thematic preset was given. More than 2,000
works shown in the exhibition include the very
emotional documentation of the village that
is about to become memory by the peasants,
many of whom operated a camera for the first
time in their life. There are as well dedicated
works of many professional artists from different
backgrounds. This is a collective depiction and
multi-dimensional visual documentary of the
specific living conditions of the common people
in a time of social changes.
The oldest participant of the 29 villagers is
67 years old, while the youngest is a child
of 4. These villagers are, to name several: Li
Wenzhong, Li Huangying, Ma Wenyou, Ma
Cuiping, Ma Shenghua, Ma Wen, Li Jinmei. And
the artists include Wang Rui, Suo Jiulin, Xie
Hailong, Chen Xiaobo, Zang Ce, Wang Zheng,
Yuan Dongping, Xu Zhiqiang, Yan Ming, Sun
Yanchu, Liu Miaomiao, Wu Ang, Xie Qiongzhi,
Hai Yang, Sun Yanyong, Bai Dongquan.

05.04-05.13王蓬作品展Wang Peng' s Solo Exhibition
The exhibition features the most important
works of one of the first-generation avant-
garde artists in China, Wang Peng. The works
were created over a span of 30 years from
1984 to 2013, including 84's performance
(1984), the first Chinese performance art work,
abstract paintings of 1989, installation the
Wall (1993), and photos and multimedia works
since 2005. Within his artwork, Wang Peng
emphasized his exploration within the themes
of social issues and the exploration of human
nature. The concept to confront visual forms
本次展览将展出中国第一代前卫艺术家王蓬于
1984 至 2013 年近 30 年间创作的重要作品，包括
1984 年创作的中国第一件行为艺术作品《84’行
为艺术》，1989 年创作的抽象绘画作品，1993 年
的装置作品《墙》以及 2005 年至今的摄影与多媒
体作品。王蓬的作品着重于对社会问题以及人性
的探讨，其“用体验对抗视觉形式”的理念贯穿其
中，并专注于真实存在性与发展必然性的思维实践。
艺术家用讽刺并严谨的手段呈现了当代所关注的
重要问题，即对艺术自由在单一表现形式下的深
刻探讨。通过这次展览的作品，让我们去感受经历
了时间后的平静与沉淀，以及其独特的艺术语言
所带来的视觉感受。

his works. Wang's work is the implementation
of the thinking on the actual being and the
necessity of development. The artist presents
many important issues of the modern society
with satire and precise techniques. These works
involve profound discussion on the artistic
freedom in the unitary form of expression. The
exhibition will let us feel the tranquility and
accumulation of time and the visual sensation
expressed by the unique artistic language of
Wang Peng.

由雅昌艺术网主办的“AAC 艺术中国年度影响力”评
选已经举办六届，这项已经连续了六年的活动所产生
的影响力在各个方面业已显露。为了对这六届评选活
动的成果有一个更清晰的呈现，举办历届获奖艺术家
的展览是最好的方式。
如若将六届获奖艺术家的名单列阵排出，其囊括了几
乎所有中国当代艺术的领军人物。他们在艺术上所具
有的影响力，足以证明这个奖项所具有的学术判断的
准确和覆盖面的宽广，足以证明这个奖项的正面价值
和记录中国当代艺术发展轨迹的价值和意义。
有鉴于本次次展览将作为此项活动所举办的第一个
展览，因此，此次展览以“领军当代”为主题，以“‘AAC
艺术中国年度影响力’获奖艺术家邀请展”为副题，
以反映六届评选的整体面貌为主要思路，以集中体现
六届评选的重要成果，突出中国现有艺术中的“当代
艺术”为主线，以体现当代艺术为主导的中国艺术的
进步与发展。此次展览仅邀请六届获奖艺术家中的
部分艺术家参展，以突显“AAC 艺术中国年度影响力
评选”已成为推广中国优秀艺术的重要平台。
The AAC Most Influential Participants of Chinese
Art Award is founded by artron.net and has been
successfully held for 6 years. This six year-old
event has grown to demonstrate its influence
in many aspects. An exhibition of the award-
winning artists is probably the ideal way to give
the achievements of the past six years a focused
presentation.
If we put the names of all the award-winning
artists together, we will be looking at a list
of almost all the leading f igures of China's
contemporary art. The impact they have on art
is the best evidence of the academic insightful
judgement and the wide range the Award
covers. It proves as well the positive value that
the Award tried to present, and its significance
in documenting the developing path of China's
contemporary art.

events of this year, it is titled "Those Leading
Contemporary Art Practices" and subheaded " A
Juried Invitational Exhibition of AAC (the Award
of Art China)". The main idea is to give shape
to a master picture of the past 6 editions of
the Award and focus on a demonstration of the
achievements of it. Contemporary art among
all current art genres in China is emphasized in
the event to expound the dominating position of
it in China’s art development. The exhibition's
selective invitation of just part of the award-
winning artists is another demonstration of the
significance of the platform of the Award in the
promotion of outstanding art in China.

艺术英才”计划入围展将于今日美术馆 2 号馆 2
层展出。5月 18 日将在今日美术馆 2 号馆 2 层举
办隆重的颁奖典礼和贵宾预展。
进入第三年的“关注未来艺术英才”计划在过去
两年间获得了社会各界的积极响应，广泛而深入
的媒体宣传令青年艺术家群体获得更多关注，而
“艺术家工作室”计划的实施也不断为青年艺术
家搭建国际间艺术交流的广阔平台。
“关注未来艺术英才”计划系今日美术馆与马爹
利艺术基金于 2010 年共同推出的支持青年艺
术家的艺术奖项。旨在通过专业的评选制度，聚
焦当代青年艺术家，推选其中的力作举办展览，
清晰展现新一代艺术家的艺术审美和全新理念，
并为中外青年精英艺术家提供发展和国际交流
的平台。
The “Focus on Talents” Finalists Exhibition
2013 is to be held from 19 to 27 May 2013 at
the 2/F Exhibition Hall Building 2 of Today Art
Museum. The award ceremony and VIP preview
is scheduled on 18 May at the same venue.
The “Focus on Talents” Project has won very
positive response from the scene and the public
in the past two years. Through our massive
and in-depth communications campaign,
young artists have gained more attention,
and the implementation of the Artists' Studio
Program continues to build broad platform of
international art exchange for young artists.
The “Focus on Talents” Project is an art award
supporting young artists jointly established by
Today Art Museum and Martell Art Fund in 2010.
It aims to focus on contemporary young artists
through professional appraisal process and to
provide a platform to present outstanding art
works at exhibition and cultural exchange for
young artists in China and abroad. Its goal is
to provide a platform for international culture
exchange and art development of Chinese art
talents.

四百多年前，汤显祖在《牡丹亭》中演绎了一部
入死出生的旷世之恋，而此次侯庆的个展则通过
传统昆曲、现代舞蹈和绘画三种表现方式重新阐
释这个故事，一样的情感，一样的传统，不一样
的角度。如同《琵琶记》对唐诗《琵琶行》的重
新叙述。本次展览则是对明代昆曲《牡丹亭》的
二次叙述。
《牡丹亭》展览延续了艺术家侯庆人物创作《琵
The Peony Pavilion is an epic drama of love
and death created by the playwright Tang
Xianzu of Ming Dynasty over 400 years ago.
Hou Qing re-tells the story with traditional
Kunqu Opera, modern dancing and painting.
The timeless classic and the same old emotions
is thus expressed from different perspectives.
The exhibition is a re-tell of the story of the
Peony Pavilion in the same style the story in the
famous narrative peom Pipa Xing(Journey with
the Pipa) of Tang Dynasty was re-told with Pipa
Ji (Journal of the Pipa) by Hou Qing.
The Peony Pavilion Exhibition is an extension
of Pipa Ji (Journal of the Pipa) by Hou Qing
(exhibited 2009 at Today Art Museum). Hou

的西方进步史观，而是实践着中国对待传统的循
环史观。他自觉地将他的个性，他的时代观念溶

是以对立而是整合的状态呈现。同时，本次展览
也将把昆曲这一传统艺术的基本形态作多角度的
展示。
Qing has long been in objection of the advanced
historical view of the West, which is widely
advocated in art and rather more in many fields
of humanity. Hou implements in his art the
cycling historical view inherent in the Chinese
approach to tradition. Hou incorporates his
personal character and the Zeitgeist consciously
into a mechanism that superfacially may be seen
as re-construction of antiquities. Rather than
opposing each other, tradition and innovation
are presented in an integrated state. The
Exhibition is all the more a multi-perspective
presentation of the elementary forms of the
classic Kunqu Opera art.

在过去中国的文字中，一个字可以代表今天的一
个词，甚至更多，可以营造清晰的情境，渐就是
这样的一个字。它给我们的感觉是慢慢的，模糊
的、可以流动的又是准确的，象含着颗话梅，有
滋味渗出来。丰子恺曾写过一篇文章叫《渐》，
他说：“渐”的本质是“时间”。的确，这就是
一个感受时间情绪的展览，关于艺术风格的渐变，
关于艺术家创作的生成与生发，关于欣赏者向作
品缓缓走近、品读的过程。总之，恰当的速度与
时间相搭配，也许可以使 S（距离）=V（速度）
T（时间）这个公式以及今天的世界具有别样的
“美感”。
此展是武汉美术馆的品牌项目：江汉繁星计划的
第三次亮相。展览将首先在北京今日美术馆举行，
再回师武汉展出。其间还将举行每年一次的武汉
美术馆青年批评家论坛。

One character in ancient Chinese language
contained the meaning of one or more words
as in the modern language. It is capable of
creating a clear artistic conception. "Jian"
(gradualness) is a character like this. It feels
slow, vague, flowing yet precise. It is like when
you keep a preserved plum in the mouth and
feel the taste coming out gradually. Feng Zikai
once wrote a prose with the title “Gradualness”
in which he said, “Time is the essence of
gradualness.” The exhibition “Gradualness”
is about sensing the emotion of time, about the
evolution of artistic styles, about generation
and development of the artist’s creation,
and about the process of the viewers' gradual
approaching and savoring the works of art. All
in all, an appropriate pace in accordance with
time may add a particular “sense of beauty”
to the equation S=VT (space equals velocity
multiplied by time) and today’s world.
As a brand project of Wuhan Art Museum,
Star Plan is making its third appearance. The
exhibition will first take place at Beijing Today
Art Museum, and then come home on show in
Wuhan. The once a year Wuhan Art Museum
Young Critics Forum will be held during the
inverval.

人从出生就开始步入生命尽头的归途，无论人的
一生怎样辉煌抑或平庸，我们都是过客，最终均
要化归乌有。其实早在古埃及、美索不达米亚的
世界观中就有了宿命论的学说，生命是有定数的，
但生命的过程是在不同文化、不同世界观和价值
观的精神世界里行走，大地供给我们水和空气，
无私的养育着各个物种，" 天人合一 " 该是这美
好和谐景象的最好诠释，我们在这旅途中创造着
万千世界，人类奥秘的精神世界里闪烁着奇异之
光，映照在宇宙间。似乎我们从久远的精卫填海
和女娲补天的想象中就插上了翅膀，如果先人能
穿越时空来到现在，会看到那时的神话已成为现
实。今天，随着我们的欲望不断膨胀，上天入地
无所不能，疯狂的资源掠夺，使这曾经美好的星
球正遭受着空前的破坏，我们在追求发展的同时，
也在吞噬她！当我在仰望伟大的创造时总夹裹着
一个杞人忧天的心虑，如果这物质生命也有宿命、
也会终结的话，人类还能创造出一个赖以生存的
星球吗？
《城市影像》、《宽景》、《天桥》系列作品即
是在这样的诘问中编造了一个归途中的故事，高
更曾问：" 我们从哪里来，我们是谁，我们到哪
里去？ " 我回答不了。但我在画中铺设了一架通
向远方的 " 天桥”，像诺亚方舟一样，试图为明
天的归途创造一个新的神话。

The moment a human being is born to this
world, it begins a trip toward the end of life.
It may be a life of gloriousness or plainness.
In the end we are only passers-by and will
return to nothingness. This fatalistic belief was
already part of the world view of ancient Egypt
and Mesopotamia. Life is predestined. But the
experience of life is like a travel in the spiritual
world of different cultures, world views or value
systems. The earth provides us with water and
air. It breeds and feeds all creatures selflessly.
The unity of heaven and mankind is supposed
to be the best footnote to this beautiful and
harmonious image of the world. The multitude
of the world is created through our travelling in
life. The glamorous light of the spiritual world
full of human wonders brightens the whole
universe. Our wings of imagination grew in the
time of the fairy-tales of the ocean-filling spirit
Jingwei and the goddess Nvwa who mended the
sky. If our ancesters were able to travel through
time, they will see that the tales of their times
have become reality.
However, our desires grow immensely and the
endeavors go beyond the sky and earth. Natural
resources are being irrationally extorted. The
beautiful planet is suffering from unprecedented
destruction. As we pursue the development
of mankind, we are devouring the earth that
breeds us. When I look up and gaze into the
great creation, a worry always rises in my mind:
if there is a destiny and an end to this material
being, is mankind able to create another planet
where we can live?
City Images, Broad Views and the Sky Bridge
are a series of works that create a story about
the homeward trip under such interrogation. As
Gauguin once asked, where do we come from,
who are we, and where are we heading? These
are the questions that I cannot answer. All that
I can do is to build a sky bridge to the afar like
the Noah's ark, and try to make up a new fairy-
tale for the homeward trip of tomorrow.

非凡艺术人物” 将在今日美术馆举行颁奖典礼，
隆重揭晓 2013 年度 4 位获奖艺术家。6 月 16 日
至6月30日，获奖艺术家作品展览将向公众展出，
令广大艺术爱好者近距离感受大师佳作的魅力。
近三个世纪以来，融合了法兰西艺术气质与干邑
文化的马爹利在酿制卓而不凡的极品佳酿的同
时，始终推崇“独具慧眼，领悟非凡”的品鉴艺术，
致力于推动当代艺术发展。自 2004 年起马爹利
在中国首度创立 “马爹利非凡艺术人物”奖项，
至今已欣赏与褒奖了 38 位在摄影、绘画、雕塑
等艺术领域充满灵感与才华的艺术家。今年正值
这一奖项进入第十年，马爹利将继续支持众多具
有非凡才情的艺术人士，并期望与世人共同分享

Martell will announce 2013 “Martell Artist
of the Year” award-winning artists at the
award ceremony which will be held on 15th
June 2013 at Today Art Museum in Beijing.
The group exhibition of the wining artists will
then be exhibited from June 16th to 30th at
Today Art Museum so that art lovers can feel
at close quarters the ever-lasting charm of the
masterpieces by extraordinary artistic figures.
For nearly three centuries, Martell has been
setting benchmarks in the industry through
the creation of world-renowned blends. In the
meantime, as a major driving force of Chinese
contemporary art, Martell has always been
upholding the belief of unique understanding
and unremitting exploration of art. Martell
Artists of the Year has been successfully held in
China since 2004, and recognized 38 prominent
artists at home and abroad have been awarded
in photography, painting, sculpture, and
installation fields. As this year marks the tenth
anniversary of the award, Martell will continue
to supporting talented artists and showcasing
masterpieces of art to a broader audience for
discernment.

Martell Today Art Lecture is a long-term lecture program for all
art enthusiasts. Given by established artists, collectors, critics and
professionals in other fields, the lectures cover various art topics
including painting, sculpture, architecture, installation, photography,
jewelry and so on. It also touches upon on criticism, collection,
markets, publication and other art related areas. After five years'
continuous improvement, Martell Today Art Lectures has become
a brand name of Today Art Museum's learning programs. To add
more versatility and choices to learning programs, and expand
Martell's brand influence, since 2012, Martell Today Art Lectures will
enrich its activity forms by getting involved in Art Salon, Artists'

Meta-image theory believes that the photographer should
abandon the practical functions and return to the noumenon
of the image, return to the spiritual world of the photographer
and explore the inherent nature, and to express in the unique
language that is true to the photographer himself deep inside. So,
join us at the workshop as long as you have hope in photography,
no matter what equipment you use, be it film or digital, mobile
phone or instant camera, or even when you refuse the idea that
image is connected to your heart.

亲子创意坊包含多个系列主题的亲子活动，由专业儿童美术教育老
师指导，通过绘画、手工、写作、快乐阅读、歌舞游戏等形式，鼓
励孩子发挥想象，通过艺术创作发现艺术、感受艺术，激发孩子的
艺术天赋，并在此基础上增进家庭成员间的信任。
Kids Parents Creative Workshop covers various themes including
Seasons, Picture Book, Clothing, Traditional Holidays, etc. Through
drawing, making handwork, writing, reading, singing, dancing and
other interesting activities guided by professional art educators,
the Workshop aims to fuel the imagination of children, help them
feel art by creating art, and inspire children's art talents, thus
promoting trust between family members.

Every little child, even parents like you, will have questions like
the above in their minds when visiting the art museum. Now is
the time to answer all these questions! This special workshop
will invite children aged 4 to 12 and their parents to participate
in interactive tours guided by artists or other professionals, to
help their understanding of the art works and art knowledge, and
communicate with artists with their art experience. When the tour
ends, you can also make your own art works in the same way with
the artists!

the instruction of teachers from the Department of Printmaking of
China Central Acadamy of Fine Arts. This is a special opportunity for
you to learn the complete process of printmaking and experience the
fun of hands-on art creation in your life.

French professional photographer Christian Jacques is a kind grandpa who loves to go around and
