I Direct My LifeBy. Hans Lee


My journey starts back when I was a little baby toddler. My mom used to tell me whenever a movie or a show played on TV, I sat there patiently until it ended. Was this a sign?

내 여행은 내가 간난아기때부터 시작되었다. 우리 어머니는 항상말하셨다, 티비에서 영화같은것만 하면 나는 그 영화가 끝날떼까지 보았다했다. 이것은 징조 이었을까?

내가 초등학생 이였을떼, 이티 라는 영화가 나왔다. 나는 아직도 그 영화가 끝나고 난후의 느낌이 생생히 기억난다. 그후 난 이티라는 영화가 스티븐 스필버그가 감독한 영화란걸 알았다. 스티븐 스필버그는 나예게 모든 영화를 좋아하게 만들어주었고 또 내가 자라서 무었을 하고싶은지도 조금은 알게되었다.

When I was in primary school, a movie called E.T. came out. I still remember how I felt after the movie ended, thrilled and sad at the same time. Later, I found out that the movie E.T. was directed by Steven Spielberg. Steven Spielberg really inspired me to like movies in general and it gave me a sense of what I would like to do when I grew up.

내가 4학년쯤에 난 중국에있는 상해라는 도시로 이사를왔다. 상해는 한국보다 엄청나게 다른 도시라는 곳이라는걸 느꼈다. 주변환경은 쪼끔 더러웠지만 생활은 할만했다.

When I was in 4th grade I moved to Shanghai, China. Shanghai was a very different place than korea. The environment was a little dirty and unclean but I was able to live with it.

After I settled in and adapted to the new environment, I attended to a school called BISS PUXI for1 year and moved to BISS PUDONG and studied there for a year. When I was in grade 6 I moved to SAS. School life in SAS was a little dfferen't from other schools that I went to. During projects and homework's, SAS suggested many students to use an app in your laptop called imovie. This is when I first learned how to make and edit movies.

새로운 환경에 적응한후 난 비스 푸시 라는 학교를 1년을 다니고 비스 푸동으로 옮겨서 또 1년을 거기서 공부를했다. 내가 6학년이 되자 난 상해 미국 국제학교 로 학교를옮겼다. SAS는 다른학교와 달리 프로잭트를 할떼 컴퓨터로 아이무비라는 앱을 써서 영화를 만들었다. 그때 난 영화를 편집하는 방법을 처음으로 알았다.


During 7th grade I got a camera that my dad bought me for my birthday present to use it to film stuff. From that day on I brought my camera everywhere, recording clips of videos and edited them with imovie.

내가 7학년이였을떼 우리 아버지가 내 생일선물로 카메라를 사주셨다. 그후로 난 어딜가든 카메라를 들고 다니면서 영화를 찍고 편집을 했다.

After 8th grade ended, I went to a summer camp called the “NewYork Film Academy” For 3 weeks I learned many techniques of movie making and directing. I even met Freddie Wong! a famous youtube star!

8학년이 끝난후 나는 “뉴욕 필름 아카데미” 라는 여름캠프를 갔다. 난 3주 동안 영화를 찍는법을 배웠다. 난 프래디 웡 이라는 유트브 스타도 만났다.

After summer break my dad bought me a new DSLR camera, Canon 600D. Now I use this camera to film projects and

pictures.

여름방학이 끝나고 우리 아버지가 새로운 DSLR 카메라를 사주셨다. 난이제 이 카메라로만 영화와 사진을 찍는다.

When I grow up I want to become a famous movie director like Steven Spielberg. I want to be the leading movie director in

korea and improve korea’s movie industry into a place as big as Hollywood.

나는 커서 영화감독이 되고싶다. 나는 스티븐 스필버그 처럼 유명한 사람이 되고싶다. 난 한국의 영화계를 넖혀 할리

우드 같은 곴으로 만들겄이다.
