Isi Okwu: Amara e nyere kariri odida a dara

Dika njo si n’aka otu nwoke wee bata n’uwa; onwu sokwara njo bata. Otu ahu ka onwu si rute

mmadu nile, maka na onye o bula emeela njo. Njo anoolari n’uwa ogologo oge tupu e nye iwu. Ma

ebe o bu na iwu adighi, o nweghi onye e nwere ike ibo ebubo na o mere njo nke ‘imebi iwu’. Ma

onwu chiri mmadu nile, bido n’Adam ruo na Mosis; o buladi na njo ha abughi imebi iwu dika nke

Adam. Adam bu onye e ji ama atu nke Onye Ahu gaje ibia. Ma amara e nyere jiri ihe buru ibu karia

Jesu gwara umuazu Ya si: “Unu atula ujo mmadu! N’ihi na ihe o bula e kpuchiri ekpuchi ugbua ga-

abu ihe e kpughere ekpughe. Nke o bula zoro ezo, ga-abu ihe a gbara n’anwu. Ihe M gwara unu

n’ochichiri, kwuonu ya n’ehihie ocha. Ihe M takwunyere unu n anti, kwusaanu ya n’elu ulo. Unu

atula egwu ndi ahu na-egbu ahu, ma ha enweghi ike igbu mkpuru obi. Kama tuonu egwu Onye ahu

nwere ike ime ka ahu na mkpuru obi laa n’iyii n’oku ala mmuo. Ihe a na-ere umu nza abuo o bughi

nani otu kobo? Ma nke o bula n’ime ha enweghi ike ida n’ala, ma o buru na Nna unu amaghi. Ma

otu o di, a guola agiri isi unu bu n’isi onu. Ya mere, unu atula egwu o bula. N’ihi na unu di oke onu

ahia karia otutu umu nnunu. “Ya mere, onye obula nke ga ekwuputa ya n’ihu mmadu, aga M

12TH SUNDAY REFLECTION

TERROR IN OUR LIVES

In this modern day, the terror we seem to know much about is that unleashed on regular basis by

Islamic extremists. This is so true because there is increasing number of terror attack across the

globe that we basically live in fear in this unsafe world. The religious cum political ideology of

these Muslim terrorists is so brazen and uncompromising that they tend to be unabated and

indomitable. There is terror in our neighborhoods, families, communities, churches and homes.

People love to terrorize and make life difficult for others. The only language terrorists know is that

of violence and destruction. They fight truth and champion injustice as a way to hide their wicked

acts. They hate to hear the truth and truncate any form of freedom. Often times, husbands

terrorize their wives and children, leaders terrorize their subjects, people conspire to terrorize

others who hold different view against them. The chief priests and leaders of the community could

no longer stand the glaring truth and exposition of their crimes and wickedness by Jeremiah and

thus they resorted to the plot to exterminate him from the root. The Lord encourages us not to

fear and to speak out the truth and witness to Him before the people. He has promised to reveal

all the secret emotions and plans of the evil people. Whatever is hidden will be revealed. Flow

with the spirit of prophet Jeremiah and standby the truth and defend justice. Be not an agent of

terror recruited by the other to unleash terror on innocent people. Be no slave to terror. Be not

part of the conspiracy to stiffen the truth. Truth is eternal and endures forever.
