OverviewTreatment options for patients with unresectable head andneck cancer have been significantly expanded over the last fewyears. Combined modality treatment with concomitantchemotherapy and radiotherapy represents the standard ofcare for patients with advanced head and neck cancer and theintroduction of new molecular targeted therapies lead to afurther improvement in treatment outcomes. This activity willoffer the opportunity to learn from a recognized andexperienced multidisciplinary team current therapeuticoptions for patients with advanced and metastatic head andneck cancer. Effective interaction between themultidisciplinary team and participants will be encouragedthrough clinical case discussion and practical sessionsdedicated to treatment planning and delivery.

Learning objectivesBy attending this live educational course participants will beable to:• Define the methodology of the multidisciplinary approach inthe clinical management of head and neck cancer patients

• Review current and novel therapeutic approaches for thetreatment of head and neck cancer patients

• Recognize the importance of supportive care in thetreatment of patients with head and neck cancer

ために

本教育実習コースについて切除不能な頭頸部癌患者に対する治療の選択肢がここ数

年間で大幅に増えています。化学療法と放射線療法を併

用する集 学療法が進行性頭頸部癌患者の治療のスタンダ

ードになっており、また、新しい分子標的治療の導入が

治療成果の更なる改善をもたらしています。今回の活動

は、進行性および転移性の頭頸部癌患者に対する既存の

治療の選択肢を、定評のある、経験豊かな集学的チーム

から学ぶ機会を提供するものです。臨床例の検討と、治

療計画の立案�実施に関する実践セッションを通じて、

集学的チームと研修参加者との間の交流が効果的に促さ

れることが期待されます。

到達目標

本研修修了後の到達目標は以下の通りです。

• 頭頸部癌患者の臨床管理における集学的アプローチによ

る治療法の選定

• 頭頸部癌患者治療のための現行および新規の治療アプロ

ーチの検討

• 頭頸部癌患者治療における支持療法の重要性の認識

対象者頭頸部癌患者の管理経験を有する日本の腫瘍内科医、外
