The ield o International Relations continues to

develop rapidly in response to dramatic global

changes. Hults MAIR prepares students or the

combination o the known and unknown lying

ahead by oering a broad platorm o knowledge

on the international system, its key actors, andits essential dynamics. Coursework involves

question-driven analysis o issues such as cross-

border migration, globalization, the widening

poverty gap, the impact o American oreign

policy, the threat o terrorism, and challenges

to traditional systems o political and economic

governance. Graduates are grounded in the

acts o the past, skilled in the debates o the

present, and able to anticipate patterns o uture

development.

A structured curriculum oers students a

broad base o knowledge

The MAIR is designed to oer a broad base oknowledge across the discipline as a whole.

The curriculum is careully structured so that

students have exposure to key sub-ields,

while still maintaining an element o choice or

specialist modules, allowing combinations that

create a direct path to their chosen career.

During a 12-month period, students undertake a

series o core and elective course modules and

may elect to write a thesis on a topic o their

choice or undertake an internship or ield study.

As such, students are oered a comprehensive

grounding in international issues, providing

The comprehensive nature o the curriculum is

well suited or students either with or without a

background in international relations.

Practical education

Knowledge o the international system is

supplemented by courses that provide practical

skills. To succeed in any organization, graduates

should possess skills in project management,

inance, and leadership. Hults MAIR draws

oers elective courses on management that

are tailored toward careers in international

relations. Whether seeking a career in statecrat,

Experiential education

Students may elect to participate in ield studywork or internships. Field studies help bridge the

gap between theory and practice, and students

will typically undertake a study tour, meeting

actors and engaging with institutions working

in the ield (e.g. conlict management groups in

Jordan; business leaders in China; global justice

organizations in The Hague). Internship work is

undertaken under the guidance o the Career

Services team, and builds upon the Lielong

Payment Terms & Deadlines

An application fee of USD100 (MIB, MAIR. MFIN) or USD150

(MBA) is payable at the time o the application submission.

A non-refundable deposit of USD2,000/GBP1,250 (MIB and

MFIN), GBP1,250 (MAIR), or USD3,000/GBP1,800 (MBA), which

contributes towards the tuition price, is payable within 14 days o

acceptance onto the program, and will hold the students place.*

50% of the annual tuition fee (less deposit) is payable 60 days

beore the start o class.

The remaining balance of the annual tuition fee is payable 30 days

beore the start o class.

Students have the option of paying via an installment plan. A fee of

USD700/GBP450 (MIB), GBP300 (MAIR), USD600/GBP350

Withdrawal Policy

A student may withdraw rom the Master program at any time upon

giving written notice to the schools Registrar. The withdrawing

student may re-enter the program at a later date, without having

to reapply or admission. He or she may use any unexpired reund

credit (see Reund Policy below) toward the receipt o educational

services or materials, priced at the rate prevailing at the time o

re-entry. In addition to providing written not ice to the Registrar, all

students must meet with the Academic Dean prior to withdrawing.

Global Rotation Program

The Global Rotation Program is subject to capacity constraints and

will be oered on a irst-come, irst-served basis. S tudents must be

in good academic standing (i.e. 2.67 GPA) and be up-to-date on

tuition payments to participate in this program. A deposit o

USD500/GBP300 or equivalent is required to secure each rotation.

Reund Policy

In general, the school grants only credit reunds that may be used

within a ive-year period or uture educational services. It does not

Grading Procedure

1. Grading Standards

Course instructors will evaluate and assess participant

perormance. Grades are assigned according to the Instructors

assessment o perormance on the int ellectual and proessional

criteria established or the course. The Instructor has ull authority

and responsibility to establish perormance criteria, evaluate

participant perormance, and award grades. The Faculty uses t he

ollowing grading system to evaluate participant perormance:

Acceptable graduate-level work is a B- or better. The Registrar

Instructors. Every Hult student is entitled to know the manner in

which his or her course grade was calculated.

2. Grade Point Average

A weighted grade point average (GPA) is computed by multiplying

the numerical grade received or each course or module by thenumber o credit hours per course, totaling these igures, then

dividing the sum by the total credit hours. "Pass" and

"Incomplete" grades and their corresponding credits are not

actored into the weighted average. A "Fail" will be actored into

the weighted average as a numerical grade o zero.

Every course in which a student has enrolled, and or which a

student has been assigned a letter grade, will be denoted on his

or her transcript. Every letter grade denoted on the transcript will

be actored into the calculation o the students overall GPA.

Graduation Requirements

1. Basic Requirements

Participants must complete the requisite credit hours o course

work required or the Master degree. Course credit is awarded or

achieving a grade better than F on a course. All courses in

Module A or B must be completed with a grade better than F.

Should a participant receive an F on a required course, this

course must be re-taken at Hult or an approved institution within

a period o three years rom the participants original enrollment

date and the participant must achieve a grade better than F.

Those who satisy all program requirements (include: participation

in all courses, payment o all inancial obligations, return o all

library materials, and completion o all evaluations), who receive a

grade other than Incomplete or each course, who have no

outstanding Honor Code issues, and who have a inal GPA o

2.70 or better are granted the Master degree. Degrees are

recommended by the Academic Dean to the Faculty and the

Board o Trustees and awarded by vote o the Faculty and the

Board.

2. Deans List

Participants who earn a GPA o 3.60 or above or any Module are

ormally named to the Hult International Business School Deans

List or that Module. Qualiying participants receive notiication

rom the Dean with appropriate recording in the participant's

permanent academic ile. With the participant's approval, ormal

announcement o this scholastic achievement will be made to

respective sponsors and agencies. The school is very pleased to

oer this achievement award and hopes this award will serve as

added incentive or all participants.

3. Graduation with Honors

Participants graduating with a cumulative GPA at or above 3.60

and who are in the top 10% of the class will be designated a Hult

Scholar and will receive their degree with Distinction indicating

the highest honor. Those whose cumulative GPA is 3.60 or above

but who are not in the top 10% of the class will receive their

degree with Excellence, as recommended to the Faculty and

Board o Trustees by the Academic Dean.

Dismissal rom the Program

The school reserves the right to dismiss any participant at any time

whose academic perormance is unsatisactory, whose conduct

constitutes unacceptable proessional behavior, or whose legal or

medical problems hinder satisactory perormance. In such cases,

the Academic Dean will notiy the participant in writing, a degree will

not be awarded to the participant, and, as appropriate, the

participant's sponsor will be notiied.
