Your requirementsPrerequisites

This certificate program has no prerequisites or special admission requirements, but having the appropriate background in math, science, English, computers, and the Internet is helpful. Some elective courses (X236, X237) are graduate-level UC Berkeley courses that require a bachelor’s degree in a related field, such as engineering, as a prerequisite for enrollment.

Course Completion

You must complete a course within six months of your date of enrollment. Most students who have full-time jobs and who study part-time can finish an individual course within four months. You are expected to complete all of your requirements within three years of enrolling in the certificate program.
