Introduction

JD Edwards EnterpriseOne is a complete suite of modular, preintegrated, industry-specific businessapplications designed for rapid deployment and ease of administration on a pure internet architecture. It is

ideally suited for organizations that manufacture, construct, distribute, service, or manage products orphysical assets.

JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Tools is the runtime architecture and integrated development environment at theheart of the EnterpriseOne server-centric enterprise architecture. EnterpriseOne Tools is the technology layerthat integrates with database systems, web application servers, reporting tools, and other third-party solutions.EnterpriseOne Tools provides an abstraction layer that allows the EnterpriseOne applications to function

without a direct dependency on the platforms and middleware beneath them.

EnterpriseOne Tools supports the industry’s leading hardware, operating systems, and database platforms. Moreover, EnterpriseOne applications look the same to application users, regardless of the database orhardware platform being used.

An EnterpriseOne system comprises multiple software and hardware components. Because thesecomponents can be configured and deployed flexibly, and because EnterpriseOne Tools supports a widearray of hardware and database platforms, you can implement EnterpriseOne applications in a manner thatbest suits your IT standards and computing resources. In this statement of direction, Oracle outlines theroadmap of JD Edwards EnterpriseOne certification with major platform products, including:

• Operating systems• Database management systems• Web application servers and portals• Client operating systems and browsers• Miscellaneous products

Upcoming Withdrawals

The general JD Edwards EnterpriseOne support policy is to withdraw support for a platform component when the vendor withdraws its primary or mainstream support. The following vendors have announced withdrawal of support of these platform components; therefore, Oracle plans to withdraw support for themconcurrently.
