o Set up new tests, maintained reference ranges, maintained analyzer interfaces Sr Analyst led team of 5 analysts and 2 specialists. Developed implementation and change control procedures for 29 Cerner facilities. SAP Business Objects reporting experience Corrected reference lab interface to enable a full time position to be moved to the critically staffed core lab. Train physician offices on the proper order and work flow for new EMR. All steps of new tests and interfaces were given to me to approve or disapprove with discretion. Initiated improvements in technical practices in quality and turnaround time expectations with accountability to

increase customer satisfaction and reduce delayed test results with a focus on a quality product. Designed and implemented performance planning processes and procedures.

Eliminated manual logs increasing technologist efficiency. Implemented and maintained HL7 reference lab interface with LIS, increasing physician satisfaction and meeting

future compliance standards for electronic medical records. Developed report for Pharmacy to streamline the daily function of prescription reconciliation with suggested

antibiotic therapy for infections. Brought in new test methodologies saving the laboratory over $10,000 in reference lab costs. Upgraded software and validated new version of SoftLab from 4.0.1 to 4.0.3 Initiated sale of analyzers that were “over” the requirement of the lab and implemented cost per reportable

contracts with vendors reducing laboratory expense by $140,000 per year in wasted products and supply. Project manager on conversion and validation of LIS upgrade from Cerner Basic to Cerner Millenium. Responsible for the performance of 15 FTE’s. Validation and testing of 3000-4000 tests, with 20,000 samples a day through our chemistry section. Corrected erroneous billing procedures in the LIS resulting in under charge for laboratory services by $225,000 per

year. Designed infection control program for accidental exposures that maintained a high level of communication and

confidentiality. Eliminated the need for paper orders and printing of charts with a fully integrated LIS to EMR interface. Built HL7 interface with reference laboratory increasing laboratory efficiency from 60% to 150% according to

accounting practices.

work with Cerner Basic. Trained client sites on the use and trouble shooting of HL7. Trained LIS staff on building of HL7 on various client site systems. Redesigned hematology section to improve efficiency and accommodate new chemistry equipment. Reduced turnaround time on all testing to meet ER requirements. Implemented changes in chemistry to achieve turn-around-times that allowed the hospital to become chest pain

accredited. Implemented and installed factor testing in coagulation department.
