Steel Plate Plate normally ranges in width from 900mm to 4 500mm and thickness from 4,5mm to a maximum of 100mm for structural steels and a maximum of 80mm for pressure vessel steels. The maximum thickness available, however, also depends on ultrasonic test requirements. Refer to the paragraph on dimensions for more detail.

Hot rolled plate is used in the manufacture of heavy engineering products such as oil industry ,chemical industry , pressure vessels, mobile cranes, dump trucks, mixer blades and combat vehicles. Specification:

Hot rolled strip for line pipe for API 5l Steel for the production of line pipe is manufactured through either the electric arc furnace (EAF) or basic oxygen furnace (BOF) route and is continuously cast. Steel for pipes operating under non-sour conditions is normally restricted to a maximum sulphur content of 0,010%. For pipe applications where high toughness and improved cleanliness is required, the steel may be calcium treated for inclusion shape modification. Casting parameters are carefully controlled for homogeneity of composition, uniformity of structure and improved surface quality. The API 5L grades are micro-alloyed with niobium and/or vanadium for grain refinement and precipitation strengthening. These high strength low alloy (HSLA) grades offer higher toughness and their low carbon equivalent content improved weldability and formability. The API 5L grades are normally fully killed and aluminium treated to ensure a fine grain steel.

Pre-painted galvanised steel sheet/coil Colour coated, or pre-painted, steel, is steel coil to which a paint, powder or film coating has been applied in a continuous process prior to it being cut and shaped. It provides a durable uniform surface finish, and can be an alternative to conventional post-manufacture painting of steel parts. The coil is coated on one or both sides. Rolls apply first a primer and then a topcoat to the moving steel strip. The substrate is usually cold reduced galvanised coil, but galvanised HRC and even uncoated coil is used.

Color coated steel coil can be made up insulation roofing after work in with various insulation materials i.e .for drawing ,structure ,construction industry (factory building ,agricultural warehouse) prefabricated parts of residence ,tile roof and furniture appliance .

Electro-Galvanised Steel Sheet/coil Electro-galvanised steel sheet consists of a cold rolled steel substrate coated with zinc by electrolytic deposition on a continuous line. The electro-galvanising process not only allows accurate control of the thickness of the zinc coating, but also permits the coating of either one or both sides of the sheet, and the coating of different thicknesses of zinc on the two sides of the sheet.

Electro-galvanised steel sheet is intended for applications involving all forming, drawing, stretching and bending processes during the manufacture of articles. A range of coating thicknesses is offered, with a corresponding increase in corrosion protection. The maximum coating thickness is equivalent to that of a Z100 hot-dip galvanised sheet. The selection of a desired thickness of the zinc coating depends on the specific requirements of the application.

Alu-zinc Steel Sheet/Coil Aluzinc is a flat carbon steel product coated on both sides with an aluminium-zinc alloy ,the coating is composed of 55% aluminium ,43.4% zinc and 1.6%silicon and applied by means of a continuous hot dip galvanizing process.Aluzinc i available in a wide range of steel grades :steel for cold forming and deep drawing applications and structural steels.

The excellent corrosion resistance of Aluzinc is a result of the properties of its two metallic constituents : the barrier effect of the aluminium present on the surface of the coating and the sacrificial protection of zinc.the characteristic spangled silver color of Aluzinc gives it a very attractive appearance ,thanks to a thin transparent layer of aluminium oxide on the top surface of the coating ,this appearance is preserved over time .

Aluzinc offers additional advantages: (1) Good corrosion resistance at high temperatures

(2) Good abrasion resistance because of its surface hardness

(3) Excellent thermal and light reflectivity.

Cold rolled sheet/ Coil Cold rolled sheet is produced by processing Hot Rolled Strip through a cold rolling process to obtain thinner gauges and enhanced surface textures. It is used in the manufacture of products such as electric appliances, car bodies, office equipment and containers. The trend today is towards greater diversity of products to meet more sophisticated needs and to realise increased efficiency in manufacturing the final product. Greater demands for performance and quality are thus being made on cold rolled steel sheet.

Cold rolled steel sheet is used in a wide variety of end applications such as appliances refrigerators, washers, dryers and other small appliances, automobiles - exposed as well as unexposed parts - electric motors, and bathtubs.
