BACK TO SCHOOL ATHLETE SAFETY

Baseline testing of balance and cognitive function during a preseason athletic exam may be helpful when compared to a

similar exam conducted during the season if a concussion is suspected. A scorecard for this baseline testing can be

downloaded at the Kansas Sports Concussion Partnership website at www.KansasConcussion.org.

BREASTFEEDINGThe Kansas Health Summit on Breastfeeding, sponsored by the Kansas Health Foundation and United Methodist Health Ministry Fund, will provide smart strategies for improving breastfeeding initiation and duration rates in Kansas. It will

be Sept. 25 at the Kansas Leadership Center & Kansas Health Foundation Conference Center at 325 East Douglas, Wichita, Kansas. There is no charge for the summit. In addition, the
