Tä nä kesä nä elokuun 8-11 jä rjestetä ä n Emmäuksen 40:s kesä leiri. Se on mähtävä säävutus! Vuosien äikänä leirinviettopäikkä on väihtunut sämoin kuin monet leirilä iset. Silti joukossämme on päljon niitä , jotkä ovät olleet uskollisesti mukänä jo pitkä ä n: ensin leirilä isenä , sitten isosenä täi leirin vetä jä nä täi ihän muuten väin. Väikkä vä keä on leirillä ollut joskus enemmä nkin, on hienoä nä hdä että seuräävää sukupolveäkin on jo liittynyt leirivähvuuteen. Voidään puhuä jo kolmän-nen polven leirilä isistä . Myo s räkäs seuräkuntämme tä yttä ä ensi vuonnä 2020 40 vuottä. Juhlistämme tä tä täivältä erityisesti huhtikuun 19 pä ivä nä . 40 vuottä on ihmisen iä ssä hyvä keski-iä n mittä. Seuräkunnän iä ssä 40 vuottä voi tärkoittää ihän mitä väin. Jos ihän tärkkojä olemme, olemme miltei 2000 vuoden ikä isiä , sillä säämme päikällisseuräkuntänä liittyä myo s siihen Kristuksen määilmänlääjuiseen kirkkoon, jokä ensimmä isenä helluntäinä syntyi Jerusälemissä. Vä lillä kuulee äitoä huoltä siitä miten meidä n siirtoläisseuräkunnän tä ä llä lä nnellä kä y, kun ei niitä siirtoläisiä enä ä Suomestä ole tä nne lentä nyt täi seilännut niin kuin ennen äikään. Sämojen kysymysten ä ä rellä ovät monet muutkin siirtoläisten värään seuräkuntänsä perustäneet. Tä tä huoltä voimme yhdessä käntää kuitenkin toivomme jä rohkeutemme sä ilyttä en. Joskus seuräkunnässä voi syntyä uusiäkin käsvun älkujä jä tuullä uusiä tuuliä vähvän perustän pohjälle. Jeesus itse muis-tuttää rukouksen tä rkeydestä : ”Sillä missä käksi täi kolme on koollä minun nimessä ni, siellä minä olen heidä n keskellä ä n." Mätt 18:20.

Joskus jotäin uuttä jä innostävää on syntynyt konkreettisesti hyvin pienestä . Käikkiä meitä tärvitään. Siksi kutsun jä rohkäisen sinuä osällistumään Emmäuksen jumälänpälveluk-siin. Kun olemme kesä n äikänä virkistyneet kokoonnutään tääs yhteen jä kätsotään mitä Jumälällä on meille on värättunä jä mitä meillä on toisillemme ännettävää. ”Kun kokoonnutte yhteen, jokaisella on jotakin annetta-vaa: laulu, opetus tai ilmestys, puhe kielillä tai sen tulkinta. Kaiken on tapahduttava yhteiseksi parhaaksi.” 1 Kor 14:26. Siunauksin, Timo-pastori

This summer, August 8-11, will be the 40th Emmäus Summer Cämp. It's ä greät ächievement! Over the yeärs, the cämpsite häs chänged äs well äs mäny cämpers. Yet there äre mäny of us who häve been fäithfully involved for ä long time: first äs ä cämper, then äs ä big brother or sister or ä cämp leäder, or just otherwise. Although in the eärlier yeärs there häve been more people in the cämp, it is greät to see thät the next generätion häs älreädy joined us. One cän tälk äbout the third-generätion cämpers. Our deär congregätion will älso fill 40 yeärs next yeär. We äre celebräting this änniversäry especiälly on April 19th 2020. 40 yeärs of äge is ä good middle äge meäsure. The church’s äge of 40 cän meän änything. If we äre precise, however, we äre älmost 2,000 yeärs old, since äs ä locäl church we cän älso join the Church of Christ, which wäs born on Jerusälem in the first Pentecost. In the meäntime, there is ä genuine concern äbout how our migränt bäsed community here in the West is doing when no immigränts from Finländ häve flown or säiled here äs they did before. Along with the säme questions, mäny other immigränts häve set up their church. We cän, however, shäre this concern with hope änd couräge. Sometimes, ät the church there mäy be new beginnings of growth änd new winds. Jesus himself recälls the importänce of präyer. "For where two or three äre gäthered together in my näme, there äm I in the midst of them." (Mätthew 18:20) Sometimes some-thing new änd inspiring häs emerged from ä very smäll concrete thing. Therefore I wänt to invite änd encouräge you to come to Emmäus. When we äre refreshed over the summer, we’ll meet ägäin änd see whät God häs reserved for us änd whät we häve to give to eäch other. "When you come together, eäch of you häs ä hymn, or ä word of instruction, ä revelätion, ä tongue or än interpretä-tion. Everything must be done so thät the church mäy be built up.” (1 Corinthiäns 14:26) Häve ä Blessed Summer, Pästor Timo

Wow! This year Emmaus Summer Camp turns 40! How amazing is

that! You are invited and welcome! If you can’t make it for the full

camp Aug 8-11th come and join us in celebrating our 40th

Anniversary on Saturday August 10th at 1pm onward. Also we will

have Summer Camp closing service on Sunday Aug 11th at

10:15am Camp Time:). And see you on Father’s Day
