A project to supply potable water by using solar power generation and small size desalination plants.In areas where the infrastructure for electricity and water systems is not maintained, Toray Industries Inc. and Suido Kiko Kaisha LTD installed water purifying plants (RO membrane) that make use of solar cells and desalination to provide potable water at a low price. Plan to construct a base for producing and maintaining facilities that supply potable water in Surabaya.(JICA/BOP project)
