Review for a Construction Permit (CP)

- regulatory review activities to be performed to evaluate the

preliminary design of a nuclear facility to verify compliance with

regulatory requirements and technical standards by confirming

the appropriateness of the design criteria, the design method,

the design process; assessing the impact on the residents and

the environment near the site with regard to safety criteria; and

examining the nuclear licensee for its technical ability to manage

and control the safe construction of the nPP

the environment near the site with regard to safety criteria; and

examining the nuclear licensee for its technical ability to manage and

control the safe operation of the nPP

International Nuclear Safety School (INSS) KINS established the International Nuclear Safety School (INSS), the first education organization in Asia, in cooperation

with the IAEA in 2008. The INSS has developed various education programs to train domestic and foreign expert

manpower and using regulatory technologies and the experience which KINS has built up over the past 30 years.

In addition, the INSS is making vigorous efforts to help the Korean public to understand nuclear and safety regulations by

providing a work-study program for them.
