지하철 가기 전에 지하철 노선도를 볼 거예요. 이쪽에 있어요.

Before going to the subway, I’ll take a look at the subway map. It’s here.

지금 저희가 종로5가에 있어요.

Now we are at 종로5가.

이따가 신촌에 갈 거예요.

We are going to go to 신촌 later today.

여기는 지하철 노선도.

So this is a subway map.

“도착역을 선택하세요” 네. 신촌에 갈 거예요.

“Please choose your destination.” Yeah. We are going to 신촌.

네. 신촌은 1000원. 경의선은 1200원. 저는 1000원을 선택할 거예요.

Yeah. 신촌 is 1000 won, and if you want to take 경의 line, it’s 1200 won. I’m going to choose

1000 won.

“발매하실 1회용 교통카드 종류와 매수를 선택하신 후 금액을 넣어 주십시오.”

“Please choose the type and the number of your disposable ticket and insert the amount.”

네. 돈을 넣어야 돼요. 지갑에 돈이 없어요. 어떡하죠?

Yeah. I need to insert the money. I don’t have money in my wallet. What do I do now?

돈을 찾으러 은행에 가야 되겠어요. 은행에 갈까요?

I have to go to the bank to withdraw some money. Let’s go to the bank.

은행은 꽤 멀어요.

The bank is quite far away.

지금 시간이 오후 6시예요. 오후 6시이면, 퇴근시간.

Now it’s 6 o’clock in the afternoon. 6 o’clock in the afternoon means it’s the evening rush hour.

사람들이 아주 많이 몰릴 시간이에요. 퇴근 시간에 사람들이 아주 많아요.

It’s the time of the day when a lot of people will start rush into the subway station. There are a

lot of people during the evening rush hour.

이제 은행에 도착했어요. 따라오느라 고생 많으셨습니다.

Now we are at the bank. Thanks for following me all the way.

저는 지금 은행 앞에 있어요. 은행에 들어가서 돈을 찾을 거예요.

I am in front of the bank now. I’m going to go in and withdraw some money.

어디서? 은행! 은행에서 돈을 찾을 거예요.

Where? At 은행! I’m going to withdraw money from the bank.
