The clients requested an inspirational environment to receive the public and to carry out the tasks of this important regional water supply authority. The project is now complete and occupied, and has responded positively to the project’s many demands including 5 star ESD performance, re-use of existing materials from a historic timber warehouse and an environment that provides a high degree of efficiency for the occupants. A highlight of the project is the central atrium, naturally lit and giving a focus to the interior of the spaces. The spatial configuration allows the office areas to be naturally ventilated for a large part of the year.
The result is a sustainable architecture that reduces the energy consumption by 60% and pioneers industrial development in the area, establishing a
high benchmark for future development.

Goodman engaged us to design a satellite office for their staff to work in when they are visiting sites outside around the western suburbs region.
The existing space was a classic office fit-out with a grid ceiling, carpet and lots of small meeting spaces and offices.
The brief was for the space to accommodate 19 staff members, a shared kitchen/cafe space, a boardroom, a separate meeting space and a waiting area. The client wanted to use an architectural style putting the finishes and joinery
on show as the feature.

The first of its kind in Australia, the five star High Technology Business Park Gore Hill brings a world-class, mixed-use work environment to Sydney. It consists of offices, data warehousing, retail, showrooms & recreational facilities.
Many of the spaces are acoustically separated but visually connected. For example, sightlines connect the Reception area to the News Studios. A central stairwell interconnects all the floors allowing staff to circulate freely between offices, studios, edit suites and the various breakout spaces.
Leffler Simes Architects worked closely with the sub-consultants to deliver highly technical audio visual equipment rooms and television studios, reulting in a state of the art broadcast facility.

The refurbishment of the classic Flinders Street “Dreman” building transformed this once 6 floor derelict building into boutique headquarters of Melbourne-born Aconex - one of the worlds most utilized platforms for managing construction projects.
The design required the complete demolition of the existing interior, while remaining sensitive to the buildings original elements.
The design inspiration was drawn from New York
loft spaces and warehouse refurbishments.

Leffler Simes was commissioned to refurbish and fit-out the existing Heritage listed Ateco building sitting on the site of Ikea Tempe to be used as IKEA’s Staff Headquarters.
The brief from IKEA was to provide an exciting, modern and functional office which encompasses IKEA’s Design, culture and values while providing a state of the art facilitates that would last the test of time.
The interior evolved from an empty shell into a colourful and lively fit-out filled with light and textures whilst respecting the heritage of the building. The new kitchen, communal chill out space and generous reception area creates a warm, relaxed and contemporary feel.

The lobby had an unusual T-Shaped plan view, with two points of entry. It wraps around an open café tenancy space. These spaces are defined from one another by a change in floor finises and a change in ceiling heights. The linear troughs painted black, the LED strip lights and the folding nature of the ceiling read as line markings on a road directing floor traffic to the Lift Lobby.
Timber veneer wall paneling adds a warmth and richness to the interior spaces. The textured veneer panelling was broken down into a combination of 3 different panel heights and pattern panel thickness to provide a timber wall in relief, with leading edges catching highlights and casting shadows.

As an addition to Tyco’s recent office fitout the client required new kitchen and breakout spaces, reception, amenities and formal meeting rooms. The main entry flows through to either the large breakout or formal reception, separating the offices and meeting spaces.
Using a palette of white, black, timber and concrete, with splashes of bold bright colours, the LSA interiors team created a warm and modern office environment. A white screening system is featured in the breakout area, with this graphic idea carried to the formal meeting rooms. The furniture colour palette was informed by the client’s corporate colours.

The main occupant for this development was the RMS (Roads and Maritime Services) Administration Department.
The Design brief was to provide a cost effecive, functional, bright office space with a strong emphasis on storage and specific RMS administration and mail sorting functions.
Our Design team attempted to use local regional attractions and bright colours as design inspiration. They used a combination of materials such as laminate, timber plank vinyl, and gradient fabric with a custom designed tree graphic pinboard.

Sydney Trains, along with Sydney’s public transport system as a whole, is currently making drastic changes to its branding and structure. During this time, the company needs fun and playful spaces to promote creativity in the workplace. The Innovation Lounge was designed for this purpose.
Due to budget and time constraints, the client requested minimal changes to the existing open plan layout and surrounding meeting rooms. The interiors team made simple and effective chang-es in finishes and designed original graphics to create the diverse space.
Colourful carpet tiles transitioning to ‘activity pods’ are used to separate teams, and movable furniture (bean bags, high adjustable desks, floor lamps) contributes to the flexible and playful fitout.

利用丰富多彩的地毯区分小组，以此过渡到“豆荚活动区”。而可移动的家具（懒人沙发，可调节高度的桌子和落地灯）则增添了更多的灵活性和玩趣性。

Albury is one of 13 sites that Leffler Simes has been appointed to roll out for WAW Credit Union Banking Group, including their head office.
Located within the context of an existing historical building, the design aimed to present all the functionality of professional banking in a fresh, modern style.
The interiors are designed to be welcoming and to showcase the company’s progressive attitude towards banking and their ability to adapt to the changes of modern technology.
A selection of cost effective, textured and low maintenance materials were used to reflect the regions natural and local attractions.

Leffler Simes worked with Williams Sonoma Inc. designing the Californian retail giant’s roll-out of 8 new stores and 1 outlet store in 2014 as part of the company’s global expansion of their brands Pottery Barn, Pottery Barn Kids, West Elm and Williams Sonoma.
The Leffler Simes team consisted of Architects and Interior Designers who worked very closely with the United States Design Managers to ensure brand identity was retained and successfully adapted to the Australian audience. All Australian finishes were sourced by the Leffler Simes Interiors team including local reclaimed timbers and the historical story that goes with it.

Harvey Norman engaged Leffler Simes Design to refurbish the existing amenities in the Penrith Homemaker Centre, situated in Sydney’s west.
The brief was to upgrade the existing space and give a different layout with new finishes & fixtures. Bright graphics were used to give the Male and Female amenities a fresh lift.
A colourful mural in the new parent’s room facilities was used to give the space a sense of playfulness and comfort.

‘The Emporium’ is a small luxury concept retail store in the Fairfield RSL (local casino). Leffler Simes interiors were engaged by the client to transform the existing cluttered, dark retail store into a luxurious and exclusive shopping experience displaying The Emporium’s premium brands and highligting their design process from concept through to completion.
The projected was completed to a high level of detail including Carrera Marble floor tiles, custom rugs, beautiful veneers and brass detailing throughout. The new store has an opulent, bright and exclusive feel and is being noticed by other luxury brands wanting to showcase their products.

STOCKLAND PICCADILLY CENTRE AMENITIES REFURBISHMENT

Stockland had commissioned us to upgrade their existing amenities on the food court level of Piccadilly Centre.
The brief was to specify 5 star finishes and fixtures, and make the existing space look stylish and sophisticated to suit their location in the heart of the CBD. We achieve this through using beautiful marble finishes to the walls, colour-back glass partitions and quality fixtures.
The detailed chevron floor and wall tiles also gave the space a classy touch against the crisp colour-back glass walls.

This project consisted of two buildings providing substantial accommodation for campus students. Working within a tight budget and strict guidlines, LSA achieved a significant environmental costruct providing single and couples rooms.
The campuses consisted of rooms, study zones, common recreational zones, eating facilities, an administration centre, games rooms, seminar rooms and retail spaces.
Important considerations were, acoustic privcy, good views, climate control, orientation and accessible movement throughout.
The campus were delivered on time and on budget.

We worked closely with the client and consultants to transform a generic office building floor into 19 student residences along with support services, communal kitchen space, lounge and dining.
The client was wanting to offer students accom-modation in Brisbane boasting a new level of student living with free flowing spaces, carefully designed dorm style apartments and quality finishes throughout.
Leffler Simes interior design collaborated with the branding and graphic agency to design the name and logo for PrecinQ.

Leffler Simes was engaged by clients in China to design a music school for students between the ages of 3 and 18 in the city of Anshan, China.
The design team worked with the client to create a modern, bright and warm space that encourages young students to learn and create. The client wanted to create a music school that had a western flair to attract the new up and coming middle class of Anshan, China. The design process was acheived through strong documentation and design communication throughout the project lifecycle.

Leffler Simes was engaged by clients in China to design a kindergarten for up to 300 students in the city of Anshan, China.
The design team worked with the client to create a modern, bright and warm space that encourages young students to learn and create. The client wanted a kindergarten with a western flair to attract the new-up-and-coming middle class of Anshan.
We hosted the clients in Australia and did extensive research and tours of kindergartens and schools throughout Sydney and Melbourne to establish the current market in Australia.
The design process succeeded through strong communication and documentation throughout the project lifecycle.

Leffler Simes was commissioned to design a multi level residential development in Kellyville, one of Sydney’s up and coming residential precincts. Lincoln Rise comprises of four residential towers with communal gardens. The development has 140 units comprising of 1,2 and 3 bedroom apartments.
The client’s brief was for an upmarket, contemporary design to suit the current demographic of young professionals. The interiors team developed two schemes, one natural and one urban to cater to a diverse market.
The team worked closely with the client and consultants to ensure the project stayed within the specified budget.
