IN-PIT CRUSHING PROJECT MAE MOH MINE
Mae Moh mine is the largest open pit lignite mine in Thailand
where deposits coveran area of more than 135 km. For this Chiengmai
Construction Co. Ltd (CMC) pur-
chased as part of Overburden IV expansion project 4 semi-mobile
crushing plantsfrom Krupp Frdertechnik.
The 4 plants with a capacity of 4500 t/h each, which CMC ordered
in 1996, werecommissioned on schedule in November 1998 after an
eight-month assembly pe-riod. CMC is operating the plants in shifts
for 20 h/d to crush overburden. Thecrusher plants have shown, that
they are capable of processing over 5000 t/h each
under normal operation conditions.
The plants consists each of two truck ramps, diamond shaped feed
hopper, apronfeeder, double roll crusher dia. 2000 mm, width 2500
mm and discharge conveyor.
Including these crushers there are now altogether 7 semi-mobile
crushing plantsfrom Krupp Frdertechnik at work in Mae Moh mine.
Back in 1984 Krupp Frder-technik initially supplied 3 crushers with
a capacity of 3600 t/h each to Sahakol En-
gineers Co Ltd hich like CMC as commissioned b the Electricit
