SLEEVES

Cast on 40 (44, 48, 52, 56) sts. Work 5 rows garter st;

4 rows St st; 2 rows lace pat. Work in St st for

1/3cm. Sleeve shaping Inc 1 st each end of needle

on next RS row; then every foll 8th row 9 times60

(64, 68, 72, 76) sts. Work until piece measures

13/34 cm from beg of sleeve shaping. Shape cap

Bind off 3 sts at beg of next 2 rows; 1 st at beg of foll

4 rows. *Work 2 rows even; bind off 1 st at beg of

next 2 rows; rep from * once. Bind off 1 st at beg of

next 10 (14, 18, 22, 26) rows, 2 sts at beg of foll 4

rows, 3 sts at beg of foll 4 rows. Bind off rem 16 sts.

FINISHING

Sew shoulder seams. With circular needle, pick up

and k21 (22, 23, 24, 25) sts along right front neck

edge, 40 (42, 44, 46, 48) sts along back neck

edge, 21 (22, 23, 24, 25) sts along left front neck

edge82 (86, 90, 94, 98) sts. Beg with a WS

row, work 3 rows St st, 2 rows lace pat. Bind off.

With crochet hook, work rev sc around entire neck

edge. Sew in sleeves. Sew side and sleeve seams.

With crochet hook and yarn held double, work 2

9/23cm chains. Sew to each side of neck edge.
