LEFT SLEEVE

Work same as for right sleeve, rev all shaping.

FINISHING

Block pieces to measurements. Sew shoulder

seams. Sew sides, leaving lower 7"/18cm open at

each side for side slit. Sew sleeve seams. Collar

With circular needle and beg at left front raglan

seam, pick up and k168 sts, as foll: 54 (54, 60, 62)

sts each from front and back, 30 (30, 24, 22) sts

from each sleeve. At end of row, pick up an addi-

tional 6 sts along inside edge (behind first 6 picked-up sts) for button band174 sts. Next (WS) row

Selvage st, k5, *p2, k6; rep from *, end p2, k5, sel-

vage st. On foll rows, k the knit sts and p the purl

sts as they appear. Work 9 rows (1"/3cm) as es-

tablished. Next (RS) row: Work first buttonhole as

foll: Selvage st, k2, p2tog, yo twice for buttonhole,

p2, work to end. On next (WS) row, work across

and [k1, p1] in double yo. On next (RS) row, dec as

foll: Selvage st, k5, *p2tog, k6; rep from *, end

p2tog, k5, selvage st153 sts. Work 4 more but-

tonholes every 8 rows from first buttonhole

(1vv/3cm),AT SAME TIME,

dec on every foll 10throw 3 times, as foll: K2tog, *knit to purl st, p1,

Work even for 28 rows. Bind off all sts as they ap-

pear. Sew buttons to button band.
