The above machine has been manufactured in accordance with the Machinery Directive i.e. Council Directive 2006/42/EC of 17 May 2006 on the harmonisation of the laws of the Member States relating to machinery. The following health and safety requirements in Appendix 1 have been complied with – VSSK: 1.5.3.

How to Start Up and Maintain the Hydraulic System

Thank you for choosing the AVN Hydraulic System! In order to obtain the maximum function and working life of the system, the following instructions for starting up and maintenance should be followed. If a complete system has been delivered from AVN Hydraulik A/S, it has been tested and the pres-sure has been set to the maximum (see the code at the type plate). *********************************************************************************************************

Starting Up: Connect the pumping station to the rest of the system and check all the connections for correct

tightening. Fill up with recommended hydraulic oil until the check glass is full. Screw out the adjusting screw of the relief valve completely. Start the pumping station shortly (start/stop) in order to control the direction of rotation of the elec-

tric motor (indicator is attached). Start the pumping station and create a back pressure in the system. Screw in the adjusting screw of the relief valve slowly; the pressure is now rising in the system.

Adjust only to the working pressure required and check for leakage. If there are any other relief valves in the system, they should not be adjusted until the main relief

valve has been adjusted. If there are any piston pumps connected to the system, they must be filled up with oil before start. The pumping station is now ready for use. *********************************************************************************************************

Maintenance: Check your system regularly to prevent any unforeseen breakdowns. Check for leakage or any

unusual noises and check the operating temperature. Change the filter cartridge regularly; the first time after 40-50 operating hours and then after every

500 operating hours. Change the hydraulic oil according to the instructions from your supplier. The oil should also be

checked for remaining operating hours at least once a year. *********************************************************************************************************
