METHOD STATEMENT FOR INSTALLATION OF CHILLED WATER PUMPS
1.0 SCOPE OF WORK
The Method Statement is applicable to installation of CHW pumps
at First Floor.
2.0 RESPONSIBILITY
Before commencement of any installation activity, the followin
procedures are re!uired to be carried out.
".# $ll materials used must have an approved material
submittal.
"." Chec% that pumps are in compliance with approved
submittal
".& Chec% for any physical damaes upon receipt of the same
at site.
".' Chec% Floatin Floors ( plinths for dimensions ) locations
with respect to approved shop drawins.
".* Chec% +nertia Bases and $nti ibration mounts are in place as
per approved submittal
".- etain the shippin crates and protection covers until the
unit is at its final location.
3.0 DESCRIPTION OF WORK

3.1 T'$ (an #!nt"a#t!"s S#!)$ !* +!",.
&.#.# CHW /umps should be lifted and /ositioned to the
Second Floor.
&.#." /umps shall be off0loaded with tower)mobile crane and
movin to the re!uired location.
&.#.& Floatin Floor should be constructed and should be
ready for the M1/ wor% installation as per approved

3.2 BBAE s#!)$s !* +!",s.
# /rovide supervision and labor to assist in the riin
operation.
" Maneuver the e!uipment from loadin points into the plant rooms
in a reasonably timely manner.
& $ssist in lowerin the e!uipments onto +nertia Bases with
Sprins +solators.
' +nstallation to be as per approved shop drawin.
* Before installation of pump ensures the foundation 3base4,
bloc% wall and plaster is completed and allows
sufficient space to move the unit inside the plant room.
- Select the correct si5e ) model pumps and install the unit in
the location as confiured in the shop drawin.
6 Connect suction and dischare pipin with fle7ible connectors as
per shop drawin ) e!uipment
connection details and ensures that no weiht is put onto pump
connections.
8 Complete electrical connection to the unit recommended by the
manufacturer.
9 1nsure that oil reservoir is filled to the correct level and
with lubricant as per pump supplier:s installation
instructions.
#; $fter completin pipe installation chec% for free movement of
motor and impeller by turnin them by
hand.
## Contact supplier:s technician to chec% pump alinment prior to
commissionin.
-.0 LABOUR PLANT / MATERIAL REUIREMENTS
'.# The material shall be of approved Manufacturer as per the
material submittal.
'." S%illed technicians, in sufficient numbers, shall carry out
the installation.
'.& The wor%manship shall be maintained at all times.
.0 SUPERISION ARRANEMENTS
*.# $ constant supervision by the foreman and supervisor shall
be carried out in order to control the wor% and
the wor%manship.
*." 17perienced supervisors shall be appointed to carry out the
wor% smoothly and to have the full control of
the labour.

be worn at all times.
