PrimaryResearchinterests:1. Withthegoalofdevelopingthebiomaterialsapplicationssuchasdrugdeliverymatrix
materials, tissue engineering scaffolds materials and organ-repairing materials, theresearch focuses on preparation of novel polymermaterialswith high elasticity andvariousbiofunctionality.Mainresearchfieldsaremoleculardesign,synthesismethod,structureandpropertyofnovelbioelastomermaterials,nano-reinforcementandnano-modification of bioelastomer materials, the preparation methods of biodegradableporous scaffolds. Attention is also paid to the time-dependent and environment-dependent properties of the structure andbiofunctionality on the bioelastomers aswellascooperationwiththehospitalonanimalexperimentsandclinicalapplicationofbioelastomermaterials,etc.
2. Based on the requirement of nation development strategy, such as resource,environment,energy,andsoon,westudyontherecyclingscience&technologyofthecross-linkedrubber,preparationscience&technologyofenergy-saving/environmentfriendly/recyclable thermoplastic elastomer, preparation science & technology ofadvanced material aiming at oil-saving tire. Among these, we emphasize on: science of rubber dynamicvulcanization, science of the crosslink and de-crosslink of rubber, and science of the viscoelasticity andhysteresis of rubber at broad vibration frequency range, and effect of interface on poly-phase, multi-componentrubbercompounds,andsoon.
3. Study on filled elastomermatrix with both high-elastic performance and specific functions such as soundproperty,luminescenceproperty,electricalconductivity,magneticproperty.Focusonthedesignanddevelopmentoffillerstructureandinterfacestructure,therelationshipoffillerstructure and functional response, the relationship of functions and stress, strain,temperature, andotheroutside fields, and its evolutionwith time.Develop functionalelastomercompositeswithlow-costandhigh-performance,developrelevantwholesetofproductprocessingtechnology.
4. Focusondescribing and characterizingmulti-level andmulti-scale structuresof nano-dispersion reinforcedrubbercomposites,developingmethodsofformingrandomororderednano-dispersedstructuresinrubbermatrix, investigating thermodynamics and kinetics of nano dispersion and aggregation using statisticalmechanicsandmolecularsimulationmethods,mechanismofnano-reinforcement(e.g.modulus,stress,strain,strength),relationshipbetweenthecomplexstructureandperformanceofthenanocomposites,developingindustriallow-costandhigh-performancenanoreinforcementtechnologyandnano-composites.
