Propagazione e interazione di faglie e fratture: modellazione utilizzando analogia con dislocazioni
in un mezzo elastico
Dislocazioni
Dislocazioni:difetti lineari nel reticolo cristallino.
Sono una sorgente lineare di strain (distorsione locale del reticolo cristallino) e quindi di stress elastico.
Utilizzando la teoria (approssimazione) dell’elasticità isotropa e lineare:
→ vale il principio di sovrapposizione (lo stress totale si ottiene per semplice somma algebrica in ogni punto del campo di stress)
→ gli stress elastici dovuti alle dislocazioni sono indipendenti da quelli imposti dall’esterno (far field)
